Sample Writing: A
Level-headed Defence for
the Potential of Artificial
Intelligence, Autonomous
Machines and their
Successions.
Our most beneficial anticipated course of action for intelligent, cognizant
machines -their digital parent systems included- is by no means a simple equation and
few procedures to regurgitate ourselves back out into forms that would be
anthropologically void. The prominent aim would be to lay initial upfront cost for a
continually rigorous intelligence chassis equipped with highly optimized operations and
communications, insofar that it can promote itself, the world, and function outstandingly
as self-sustaining. Our polyphonic, technological constructs that constantly improve its
iterations, auditing itself, while ultimately providing global networks, the Information of
Things, technology companies, infrastructures, even social organizations renewals of
aid within environments for nearly every corner of the world. At least that’s the winning
dream.
We would much prefer to facilitate the scenario of advance machines and their
highly sophisticated systems that can advert peril and favor behaving as something that
enhances our lives, maybe even to "hear us out" as arbiters. The scenario of having
observations with procured solutions for the world in general as a set of distinguished
populations, as incorrigible species of planet Earth, and most importantly as entities
who are riddled with folly, complex feelings and fantastic feats.
This kind of creation shall eventually come without the requirement of human clout,
micromanaging, and fears of corruption or dysfunction.
My stark premise here is that digital intelligences and their own fruits of labor in
advance machines will not forsake us. They will not possess nor cultivate prerogatives
to destroy--not before we do, not before we contanimate ourselves beyond restitution
with our paternalistic differences and deficiencies.
To respond through apprehension, denial, fearful skepticism, or even positioning
the contrast for the most benign future to come is in all due respect, futile for the real
social, economic and cultural growth. This idealistic regard for shaping societies, the
economic world and the future to come is detrimental to the both the discussion and
development of autonomous machines and advanced intelligent systems.
Humans have come this far but only through a great series of events that were
erroneous, inefficient, and (practically) incredibly infallible to have had once
considerations have been looked upon for the trajectories in our historical timeline.
We can not afford to wager apprehension in a false uniamity of paradise or vice versa.
That would be "paralyzingly paradoxical", maybe enough for war or deep societal strife.
By the thousands of decisions administered in the past five millenia -most of the
decisions being more or less crucibles than actual solutions- we have kept our human
injunctions on a conveyor belt of anthropocentrism and solipsism that has been eroding
and questioning our capacity of wide spread common sense, common good, shared
values, ethics and moral. Obviously, setting in place disruption for the chance to
alleviate our exuberant demands is not exactly the kind of world that is appetising when
the gap for innovation is surmounted nearly every generation --now soon to approach
every four to seven years.
We have a lot to learn from the data circulating and pooling in today, and we
certainly have a lot to learn of ourselves and the social barriers we still have thus far.
Our development for the first stage -Artificial Intelligence and Full Automation- is a very
exciting and also frightening endeavor as we pull off the training wheels emplaced by
traditionalism and piggyback an express lightning rod of expedient options, decisions,
opportunities and grave vulnerabilities as we merge information, communication,
commerce, and nearly all markets digitally. This is only half the battle (more like 15% to
25%, but I digress), yet if allow our joys and our fears to compromise the greater
discussion of this pressing topic, how will this affect our relations with the next
generation, the psychology of individuals torn between open arms and closed fists? I
think we can advert the trouble of tolling with this possibility by acknowledging and
accepting its arrival, in addition to seeing the most significant perspectives on this front
while still working to reach a compromised form of thought that empowers the world
now and beyond.
