There are, however, major differences between them. NC Brands enzymes are formed by fermentation. They are made up of a complex set of ingredients that yield many types of enzymes and co-enzymes, the result of which is equilibrium or a balanced state. The process of fermentation produces a broad spectrum of balanced naturally based enzymes that combat a vast variety of non-living organics. Phosphate Testing Tips: Make Sure Algae is Not Present: You cannot get an accurate reading on phosphates with live algae in the pool. Make Sure the Chlorine Level is Below 5ppm: A high chlorine reading could bleach out the test results, rendering them inaccurate. High Range Testing: In some cases, phosphate levels may be so high that a dilution test is necessary. If the regular test maxes out, retest using the following solution: fill ½ of the test vial with distilled or bottled water (zero phosphates) and then fill the other ½ of the vial with pool water. Do the test as usual and multiply the results by two for your high range phosphate reading. With the pump still on, vacuum the pool walls and floor very thoroughly. 8. After vacuuming, clean filters: Sand Filter: backwash for at least 3 minutes and then rinse for 2 minutes.
