NARRATIVE REPORT
PROJECT NAME: YES-O Banana Replanting
PROPONENT: JAIME LAROSA/YES-O COORDINATOR
PROJECT DATE: APRIL 30, 2019
Bananas are a great addition to any garden. Planting bananas in your garden
provides many benefits, such as providing food for you and wildlife. Planting
bananas inside the school is necessary and plays a vital role in the environment
which could lead to the addition of carbon dioxide suckers.
A Banana planting project was conducted by YES-O officers with the
participation of students from Peña I National High School, this was conducted last
April 30, 2019 spearheaded by our coordinator Mr. Jaime Larosa. Bananas and tools
used on this project came from the students, no necessary contribution for financial
expenses but their participation is the only requirement for this.
This activity is essential in developing a participatory approach among
students on working for the environmental benefits towards its sustainability.
Therefore, this project gives us insight about the significance of helping the
environment aside from being active participants.
21 | Page
With this, we can help for the preservation of Bananas in the environment for
future generations and the benefits of it will remain until the future, if it is always
cared for and protected by humans, an eco-friendly basis also remains as a way of
safeguarding the existence of Bananas.

PROJECT NAME: Vegetable Replanting
PROPONENT: JAIME LAROSA/YES-O COORDINATOR
PROJECT DATE: MAY 30, 2019
Replanting is an activity to manage land that has been harvested or is no
longer productive with new plants. Planting is one of the hobbies that some of us are
passionate about. Plants are also one of the reasons why we are still alive.
Malunggay and Sweet Potato Plant (ganas) are the vegetables that can be easily
found within our community, overall these remain beneficial in terms of its uses to
humans and its existence in the environment.
Last 30th of May 2019, the YES-O of Peña I National High School conducted
the Replanting of veggies with the theme "Plant veggies for a healthy life" this activity
was held at Peña I National High School. The production of vegetables in the school
garden and the subsequent preparation of nutritious meals on school property in
close collaboration with Senior High School students can solve the malnutrition
issues in the institution. Some students go to school without breakfast, these
vegetables will be used for feeding programs to lessen the number of students who
are malnourished.
27 | Page
No monetary collection from the students in the conduct of this activity. A
short orientation was conducted and given by the YES-O Coordinator, Mr. Jaime
Larosa to where the different sections may take their place and to where they will
plant the seedlings, malunggay and banana plant they provided.
Surely, this activity will be beneficial for the next generation and from these,
we are expecting them to be conscious and continuously protect and save mother
earth as it ended at around 10 am in the morning. Even though the students felt so

Plastic bottles are present everywhere and anywhere, many students throw
plastic bottles without practicing the proper disposal of it. Now the average number
of plastic bottles that was thrown has increased and the number of students who

II. RATIONALE
The abundance and diversity of flowering plants has contributed to

Gardeners can reap physical benefits from planting flowers. Gardening is an
effective workout that uses many different muscle groups while increasing flexibility.
It is also something that just about anyone can do, at any age. Digging and planting
burns calories and uses muscles, while reaching and bending stretches the body to
increase elasticity in those muscles.
