Jatin’s fear of horror movies inspired him to write his most recent film. Despite being unable to watch scary movies, he
managed to use his fear as a source of creativity in the screenplay, as he initially had difficulty coming up with ideas.
Working with a child
actor presented several
difficulties for Jatin,
such as limited shooting
times and the need to
constantly communicate
with and engage the
young performer during
the movie's production.

Jatin’s first short film was an experimental thriller about a detective finding his missing wife. Epilogue was a major
success with the film winning over 17 awards around the world. The crew of 14 had a month to create the film
from scratch.
The film had many challenges as Jatin and his crew had to create fake rain as it was a major element of Jatin’s
script. This was overcome by using hoses and sprays to create an effect on water pouring down. We also used jet
sprays to control the pressure of the rain and match it to each shot for continuity.
From a DOP perspective, having the
whole film set in night, this had its
advantages as well as disadvantages.
On the good side, the lighting could be
set to perfection with me having full
control on how I want it to be.
The consequences were that we did not
have enough light. Having actors wearing
black at night made it very difficult to
separate them from the background.

While I was a freelance videographer, I got to work in several major events. One of them was for a
major cricket tournament, the T20 Men’s Cricket World Cup. I even worked for the Indian premier
league as the main videographer for one of the stadiums and created as well as edited content for
their social media. One of the videos made had gained over 25000 views.
I also handles 2 Instagram accounts of my own which
received around 200 likes per post and handled the
Sharjah Cricket Stadium’s account which received around
500 likes per post and around 5000 views per video.

My process for handling social media
consists of making a 9-post layout for
each company I work for. Then I
will plan a shoot to cover all
content.
Beforehand I present my ideas to the
company and get their concepts as
well to ease the process of filming.
Photography enables me to hone my skills as a Director of Photography. I view each frame in a movie as a standalone image that
contributes to the final product, and thus, I strive for perfection in every shot. Landscape photography is my preferred genre as it
allows me to practice the most effectively.

All the work I have done, there has always been a hint of
editing involved into it, from beginning to end. As a
Director DOP, I tend to plan my shots in a way where I
know it will fit perfectly in the edit timeline. From a
directing perspective, I tend to keep continuity in line
mainly to avoid any problems in the later stages.
I have also completed the editing certification for
DaVinci Resolve where I received a grade of 92%..
