3 Strategies When You're Feeling Anxious
Feeling Anxious?
Try These 3 Techniques

1. What Situations Do You Feel
Anxious?
When do you feel anxiety?
• At the supermarket?
• Driving on a busy road?
• When you see Ronald, your old coworker?
Knowing when you feel anxious can help
you plan how you’ll deal with it
Action: What situations do you feel
anxious in?
2. Feeling Anxious?
Use The Window Breathing
Technique
Step 1: Find a window (or anything that’s a
rectangle) and look at the top left corner
Step 2: Breath in and look to the right
Step 3: Breath out and look down
Step 4: Breath in and look to the left
Step 5: Breath out and look up
Step 6: Repeat 4 times
3. Don’t Avoid Anxious Situations
Avoidance grows anxiety.
It’s easy to talk ourselves into avoiding
situations that make us anxious. We say
no to the party, or get Uber Eats instead
of going to the restaurants. But this can
grow our anxiety until someday the
thought of going to that party feels
overwhelming
Sometimes a little anxiety in the short
term can save you a lot of anxiety in the
long term
