Wise consumers and Technology
THE EDGE OF COMPACT TECHNOLOGY MEASURED IN THE LATEST SPECS
Recetly, everybody has been clamoring about the latest gadgets and upgrades with the likes of
Iphones,Macs ,Androids and even Windows. There were also comebacks of oldies but goodies gaming
consoles and Japanese 90's craze Tamaguchis. Now little guys may be small and compact but they sure
bring us to a different world. In reality,we all have to admit that the people who purchase more
upgrades are the less techie ones, why?here's what I found out from a personal survey I
conducted.People from all walks of life love to move on and go forward as not to be left out. There is
quite a hefty number of people who constantly relly on aquired "advancements" rather than personal
growth.Rather an offensive description we all don't want to admit at first but later on as we thing
about it we can say "yeah that's me". See? The relevance of our personal life is comparative to these
"spes" we thrive on. We are drawn to these compact small- sized gadgets with a much greater
specifications or characteristic because we feel like we are one with them.It may sound crazy but deep
in side, unconsiously ;we tell ourselves this lates Iphone 7 represents me being compact and sleek IP67 certified - dust and - Water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes, - Siri natural language
commands and dictation- iCloud cloud service- MP3/WAV/AAX+/AIFF/Apple Lossless playerMP4/H.264 player- Audio/video/photo editor- Document editor, Dual 12 MP, (28mm, f/1.8, OIS &
56mm, f/2.8), phase detection autofocus, 2x optical zoom, quad-LED (dual tone) flash, and so on.
People now are not just buying just for the sake of buying ,studies show that we are an era of
intelligent consumers now. We want value for money or a valid reason for upgrades. Most people now
are saying they liked the Iphone 6 more than the Iphone 7 released in September 2016. Now just after
a few months into 2017 here we have now the Samsung Galaxy S8 bragging its sensors with its Iris
scanner, fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate,
SpO2 MessagingSMS(threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM ,Browser
HTML5- Samsung DeX
(desktop experience support)- Fast battery charging- Qi/PMA wireless charging (market dependent)ANT+ support- S-Voice natural language commands and dictation MP4/DivX/XviD/H.265 playerMP3/WAV/eAAC+/FLAC player- Photo/video editor- Document editor...Though we can see few
similarities here people are talking about meticulously scrutinizing every detail of each brand and
product as too where we get more value for our hard earned dough. Hearing feedbacks left and right I
was amazed how "non-techie" people sound as better as the ones who eat, drink and breathe
technology. A typical housewife or 13 year old teenager can actually be as well versed in these
terminologies there were even some younger kids who can explain how selfies are much better
looking with a certain camera app(application). Our need to cope up with our kids these days
unconsiously drives us towards advancement in understanding technoloy at it's verge. Unlike before
we just buy things because the attractive advertisements of certain popular celebrities makes us feel
we can relate to them or that their tag lines touched our hearts and for some, ego. Now before we
welcome the Windows 10 creative updates wherein you can experience picture in picture capabilities
similar to the Mac OS introduced in 2016,VR or virtual reality features and the return of MS paint
wherein you can draw in 3Dimensional or 3D using a stylus pen and share it in social media or upload
it through email, these advancements does just don't send us rushing to get our credit cards and go
buy it.We look up first some blog posts or read some reviews and get as many feedbacks as
possible.Only a few jump it for trendsetting or because we have some extra to spend.Wise consumers
recently study which suit our style.Like if smooth and real-life selfies arre our game then we stay with
our Iphone 7's 12 MP two-tone flash and 2x optical zoom that makes from camera pictures more
realistic. But if detailed angles are our niches then we might want to check out the Samsung Galaxy
S8's Primary12 MP, f/1.7, 26mm, phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flashFeatures 1/2.5" sensor
size, 1.4 µm pixel size, geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 9MP image recording, touch focus,
face/smile detection, Auto HDR, panoramaVideo
2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, HDR, dual-video
rec.,Secondary 8 MP, f/1.7, autofocus, 1440p@30fps, dual video call, Auto HDR which makes pictures
brighter ,focuses on a certain angle and takes more details in your selfie background like light bulbs
are not merged in the brightness of the lighting effects plus you get an instant filter even if you don't
have a beauty cam app. Compact no longer means small but technology makes it mean
value. Why? because we cannot be literal all the time when it comes to gadgets we focus more on
what a 5"5 inch smartphone can offer rather than a smaller basic one that just doesn't make us feel
any better than our homephones. These advancements give us identity and individuality to catch up
and stand out. We don't just buy because we can afford it ,we are the wise consumers who make sure
we learn something,we got the best value for our money and we are not left out feel that we are
moving forward.
