What’s New
With upgrade of iBonus terminal to version 4.0.6788L following changes/enhancements has been
applied to the system.
1. Decimal point removed from all iBT transactions. Hence, no need to enter 0 0 (halalas)
during transaction.
2. Amount is entered for Manual Redeem and Undo Redeem transaction, instead of points.
3. iBT will prompt for ‘Print Receipt’ after each transaction, except for Gift Vouchers.
4. ‘Accumulated Spending’ wording changed to’ Accumulated Points’ in all transaction receipts.
5. Addition of ‘Corrupted and Rejected/Blacklisted Cards’ topic in this guide.

Introduction to iBonus Transactions
There are three basic transactions that are performed on iBonus terminal.
1. Cash Purchase Type‐1
In this transaction, Java Café Card holder purchases goods and ask for the points to be added
to his/her Java Café card.
2. Cash Purchase Type‐2

In this transaction, Java Café Card holder purchases points that are added to his/her Java
Café card
3. Manual Redeem
In this transaction, Java Café Card holder purchases goods and pays from the points on
his/her Java Café card.
Please find below the iBonus transaction matrix, which shows the point calculation, unit in which the
transaction must be entered and the use of Func key to invoke the transaction.

When iBonus Terminal is in logged off mode. You
will see display as shown in the right.
To log‐in bring the staff card on top of the iBT
sensors.
You will hear a beep sound and display will
change 2 times as shown in the right.
When iBonus Terminal is in logged on mode. You
will see display as show in the right.

How to check point balance for the customer card
Steps / Explanation
Make sure the iBonus Terminal is in Logged‐in
mode. The display should be as shown in right
Place the customer card on top of the iBT
sensors. You will hear a beep sound and the
screen will change change 4 times, showing the
Customer ID, Card ID, and total Bonus Points.
Example is shown in the right.

How to add points for goods purchased by the customer (Cash Purchase
Type1)
Steps / Explanation
iBonus Terminal Display
Make sure the iBonus Terminal is in Logged‐in
mode. The display should be as shown in right.
Enter the total amount of purchase using the key
pad. For example; for total purchase of SR 25,
type 2 5.
The display will change as shown in right.
Quickly place customer card on top of the iBT
sensors. You will hear a beep sound and display
the Bonus Points added to the customer card, as
show in the right

iBonus Undo Transactions (Cancelation)
All three basic transactions (explained in section ‘Introduction to iBonus Transactions’) that are
performed on iBonus terminal can be canceled (Undo).

To undo transactions on iBonus terminal, the user should press Func key three times then place the
Staff Card on the terminal to log into the Staff Admin Mode. This step is common for all the undo
transactions.
Please find below the iBonus undo transaction matrix, which shows the point calculation, unit in
which the transaction must be entered and the use of Func key to invoke the transaction.

For every transaction that is performed on iBonus terminal a receipt is printed. To reprint the last
receipts press the ‘A’ key on the iBonus terminal.
There are three different receipts that are printed by iBonus terminal. These receipts are explained
below.

Transaction Receipt

Transaction receipts, a sample is shown above, are printed whenever an iBonus Transaction is
performed. Each statement of the receipt is explained below:
1. Shows the date and time of the transaction.
2. Shows the type of transaction and the amount and/or points associated with it.
Purchase [Cash] denotes Cash Purchase Type‐1 & Cash Purchase Type‐2, both amount and
points to be added will print.
Manual Redeem denotes the Redeem transaction, only points to be deducted will print.
3. Shows the last five digits of Java Café card account number (also called customer ID).
4. Point Carried Forward shows the point balance already on the card.
5. Point Added shows the points that are added to the card, in case of Cash Purchase Type‐1 &
Type‐2.
6. Point Deducted shows the points that are deducted from the card, in case of Manual
Redeem.
7. Point Balance shows the updated balance on the card.
8. Accumulated Points shows the points accumulated by the customer.
9. Shows the Member card number, Staff card number, iBonus Terminal number, and Expiry
date for Java Café card.

Balance Receipt, as shown above, will print whenever you choose to print receipt while checking
point balance (see page 5). Each statement of the receipt is explained below:

Shows the date and time of the transaction.

Point Balance shows the updated balance on the card.
Accumulated Points shows the points accumulated by the customer.

Receipt with Gift Voucher
Gift statement
Receipt w/ Gift voucher, as shown above, will print whenever customers Accumulated Spending
reaches 1000 points or multiple of 1000s (e.g. 2000, 3000, 4000, etc). All the statements in this
receipt are same as transaction receipt (explained on page 10) except for the Gift Statement.
Gift Statement explains that the customer have earned a free gift, show the expiry date for this gift
offer before which the gift should be claimed, and the point balance and accumulated points for the
customer. Accumulated loyalty points printed here SHOULD ALWAYS BE USED to reference the
gift(s) that the customer has earned.
*Special Note: The gift voucher will print while performing either Cash Purchase Type‐1 & 2
transactions.

Card Renewal and Replacement
All renewal requests, in case of card expiry, should be sent to Head Office. Customer can collect their
card after 48 hours from the same store.
All replacement requests, in case of card lost, should be sent to Head Office along with card account
number, customer name, mobile number, and email address. Customer can collect their card after
48 hours from the same store. However, for card replacements SR 15.00 should be charged.
Corrupted and Rejected/Blacklisted Cards
In case of card corruption, the customer card should be sent to Head Office. Customer can collect
their card after 48 hours from the same store.
All rejected/blacklisted cards should be sent to Head Office along with customer name, mobile
number, and email address. Customer will be directly contacted by the responsible person from HO
and who will update him on the status of his customer card.
