Paperhat
PURPOSE
Paper Hat
is a Vue.Js Laravel web app that aims to help users in their career path
fulfillment providing real life experiments. The user registers on the website and starts
answering to Chatbot’s questions, which can be different depending on the user’s
answer. After answering to the questions, the system brings more detailed questions
with graphics that user needs to fill out. When user submits the information, the system
generates all questions and answers with graphics, making it better to understand and
design their career path. The career path is now saved in their profile and they can do
as many experiments as they want. They also can share their path stories with other users.
THE CHALLENGE
The main challenge was a tight deadline. Students from Stanford University provided us
with the designed mock ups and we had only two weeks to provide a VPN so that they
could have a successful presentation.
SOLUTION
The team gets together and did a detailed task management to meet the deadline. Back
and front end developers worked together and very synchronized. We developed the
architecture for different type of outcomes depending of user’s answers. Our QA worked
fast and detailed to meet the highest possible quality in that short period of time.
TECHNOLOGIES
BACK END
PHP 7, LARAVEL 5.7,
FRONT END
JAVASCRIPT, VUE.JS 2, BOOTSTRAP
DATABASE
MySQL 5.6
THE RESULTS
Stanford’s students successfully managed their presentation and now they are
experiencing a big interest to the website.

THE WOW FEEDBACK
AIST did a stellar job on our web application project. In the beginning, we weren't sure if
we'd be able to get our behemoth project built in such a short amount of time of three
weeks. Team went above and beyond to make sure that our requirements were fulfilled
by the deadline and that the quality of work meets our standards. My favorite thing
about working with AIST is their openness to communication and feedback. They are
always available over chat or call to respond to our questions and requests. They also
patient in walking us through any technicalities involved. Most of the time they finished
everything earlier than we expected. These were great pleasant surprise moments we
appreciated. It was a great pleasure working with AIST.
