Grace:
Focus on your “Who Goals” instead of your “Do Goals”.
Hi there, my name is Grace and I am the co-founder /
owner and creator of Filipino Virtual Assistance and allow
me to encourage you today to focus on who you are as a
person and not on the things that you can do as a person.
A lot of times and for many of us, we focus so much on our
“Do Goals” on the doing part, instead of our “Who Goals”
which is starting deep within because there is a saying that
says that “All change starts within”, so if you want to see
progress and success there are things that we need to
celebrate starting from WHO WE ARE inside.
Our “Do Goals” usually include you know the very to-do list
or the skills that we need to master in order to do better or
the freelancing niches that we need to be experts in order
to be the you know the authority. Those are good,
however, the doing part if we’re not motivated because
we’re just “doing it” for the sake of doing it, usually would
lead us into a burn out you know lifestyle or not motivated
anymore or we’re not flourishing you know in the very
creativity that we need to be ushering and becoming
because that’s not who we are we’re just doing the things
that we need to do because those are usually what our
friends are doing or because it pays well. In order for us to
really flourish and become and succeed in the things that
we need to be doing, we need to focus on our `Who
Goals”. The “Who Goals” will list down and highlight our
very capacities, our very abilities, our strengths and what
are the things that drive us, our motivations, our purposes,
our passions, so we can flourish on the things that we like
and we love doing.
For example, when it comes to Social Media Management,
the “Do Goals” is doing that because it pays well and you
know you are able to master the craft and become a social
media manager. In comparison, the “Who Goals” you are
doing the social media management because that’s who
you are you love online management, you love creativity
and interacting people online and you love to flourish you
know in your designs and your campaigns when it comes
to social media.
Another example is doing the “Do Goals” for Project
Management. “Do Goals” for Project Management is he’s
doing it for the sake that you know you know how’s been
done or you have experience on how’s it been done or it
pays well. In comparison to that “Do Goals”, the “Who
Goals” is doing Project Management because you love
people, you love managing tasks and you feel rewarded
whenever you see your client tasks, you know which are
being manage because you just love you know the whole
aspect of managing tasks and people and reporting it to
your client that everything has been done because that’s
an expression of who you are as a Project Management
there’s Project Manager.
There’s a big difference between the “Do Goals” and the
“Who Goals” and it’s in the “Who Goals” that we flourish
more. We become you know a person or the persona that
God created us to be and we become an authority in that
field because we love what we are doing and we flourish
and we become and we evolve because we are excited
and we’re motivated we are being driven right within us
because that’s who we are. And the coming year, and this
week I would encourage you list down and celebrate you
as a person. List down your “Who Goals” instead of your
“Do Goals” go and discover your strengths what are your
creative bar and what are your weaknesses that you need
to improve and what are the things that you would flourish
more and the things that you doing and celebrate you in
your freelancing.
I hope that you become successful by focusing in your “Do
Goals” no “Who Goals” instead of your “Do Goals”
because there’s nothing else that we want to see in this
mission but your success. So, hope that this is a blessing
to all we love you so much and flourish in your creativity
and the very person that God created you to be. That will
be all. Bye everyone God bless you today.
