KIT Students Win Second Place on Southeast Asia Online Final Competition Microsoft Imagine Cup
A team of Cambodian students from Kirorom Institute of Technology (KIT) students has won the
Southeast Asia Online Final Competition second winner of Microsoft Imagine Cup 2017 contest by
creating health related game called “VCARE”.
Through mobile-app, which allows users to stay healthy by recommend them healthy food, calculate
BMI, show user healthy foods, calculate BMI (Body Mass Index), show user healthy status and useful
reports with interactive and fun user interface. The 3rd year students, Lun Thunvuthy, Huy Sophanna,
Ken Phanith, Pann Reachseyrana are competing to this event with a team named “Arcane Techer” which
means magical. “Our quote is, there is no magic involve, only technology with bright minds. It measn like
we can make it happen like magic, but we only used technology” said Lun Thunvuthy, mentor of the
team.
Totally 11 countries were participating to this competition. The First Winner is coming from Laos and
Third place filled with Brunei Darusallam.
