PPROJECT PROPOSAL
I. Title of Project: 1-DAY DISASTER RISKS REDUCTION MANAGEMENT and FIRST
AID TRAINING
II. Target Date: JULY 26, 2019
III. Venue : BUENAVISTA SURF CAMP, BUENAVISTA, GUBAT, SORSOGON
IV. Participants: Jupi NHS Teaching and Non-teaching Staffs
V. Target Speakers and Trainers: MDRRM-Gubat Staffs and Officers
VI. Rationale
Disasters, natural and man-made, have been part of human lives. These have been ones of the many things humans are afraid of not only because these can cause property loss but even life itself. With these, nothing is better than to be prepared. Hence, the school will be conducting the said training. This training is in accordance to the Division Memorandum No. 122, s. 2019 issued this July in celebration of the National Disaster Resilience Month.
VII. Objectives:
This one-day training aims the following:
1. To become more knowledgeable of the different natural and manmade disasters
2. To become fully equipped with knowledge of the fundamentals of disaster preparedness and risk reduction;
3. To increase the knowledge of the proper conduct of fire and earthquake drill; and
4. To become skilled and knowledgeable of the proper application of bondage;
5. To be able to give first aid correctly to any victim of a disaster; and
6. To be able to integrate the knowledge, skills and experiences learned in the daily lesson
VIII. Project Description
This project is a one-day training to be conducted by Jupi National High School with the teachers as participants at the Buenavista Surf Camp located at Brgy. Buenavista, Gubat, Sorsogon.
The training will begin with the discussion of the different natural and manmade disasters emphasizing their possible damage and casualties to humans. The importance of disaster preparedness and risk reduction management will also be discussed. Having the theoretical knowledge, there comes now the actual training which will include, but not limited to, the following activities: Fire and Earthquake Drills; Fundamentals of Bondaging; Providing First Aid and the likes.
