Material Take Off for Structural and

Duties & Responsibilities as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator:
§ Taking off quantities of concrete, formwork and reinforcement from drawings
§ Taking off Architectural works’ quantities such as but not limited to paintings, ceiling,
tiling, cladding etc.
§ Submission of progress claims
§ Reconciliation of quantities with the Client’s Consultant
§ Comparison between Pre & Post construction drawings for variation claims
§ Preparation and submission of Final Accounts
§ Review, check and submit subcontractor’s payment for approval
RWS is an integrated resort in Singapore offering key attractions that include theme parks, hotels,
spa facilities, casino as well as meeting and incentive venues. This SGD6.59B (US$4.93B)
project will occupy 49 hectares of land on Sentosa island, Singapore.

Quantity Take Off for Earthworks,
Civil Works, Structural & Architectural
Works
Project: MRT - Orchard Interchange Station
Duties & Responsibilities as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator:
§ Taking off quantities of earthworks (excavation, cut & fill)
§ Taking off quantities of civil works (piling, diaphragm wall, retaining wall)
§ Taking off quantities of structural works (materials such as concrete, formwork and
reinforcement)
§ Taking off quantities for roadworks (for road diversion)
§ Taking off Architectural works’ quantities such as but not limited to paintings, ceiling,
tiling, cladding, waterproofing etc.
With a contract sum of approximately SGD498 million, Orchard station will be an interchange
station connecting Thomson Line with the North-South Line. When opened, instead of a 50minute journey, commuters on the North-South Line can enjoy greater and faster (35-minute
ride) accessibility to the Thomson and Havelock precincts.

Elements
Project: Public Housing in Singapore
Duties & Responsibilities as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator:
§ Taking off quantities for precast elements such as walls, column, pre-stressed planks,
beam, parapet wall, façade, canopy, refuse chute, staircase flight etc
§ Material (concrete, mold, rebars) breakdown of each element
§ Preparation of Quotation and Contract of Awarded projects
§ Preparation of Final Accounts
