GELYN V. CATUBIGJuly 27, 2019 SUBJECT: TEACHING PROFESSION MY PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION In our daily lives we have our own philosophy in life that we want to achieve. Our philosophy in life that binds our values, morals, and ethics that set standards and basis of our actions and attitudes. It is the nature of human to have an action plan for their future, in that way, we have the reason to strive hard and set goals to achieve one’s desire. As a teacher, my philosophy of education is to impart my knowledge to the students, to be the role model and set as a good example as individual to the society. To share inspirational experiences and execute actions that is acceptable to the morals, values and ethics to the Filipino people. To be a teacher, I should be responsible, dedicated and knowledgeable to my work and to my actions. Patience, humility, and open mindedness are factors to be able to continue your profession as a teacher. I will treat my students as my children, my friend so that I can give them the advice, guidance support attention and love that they need. I will teach them not only scientific methods, what I learned in school, vocabulary, difficult words, mathematical expressions, or lessons that make them the best student when it comes to academics but rather, I will teach them also the reality of life that not all things are ideal, not all things can be achieve in academics only or if you have 99% average grade, but also if you have a big heart and a rightful actions and words with morals and values, it will mold you to become the best student and individual in the society which set as a good example to the next generation. I will teach my students by giving them the proper or correct lessons, teaching them properly and letting them express and share their thoughts about the lessons. Connect the lessons to the values and morals that Filipinos have. Give them assessments, for me to guide and find ways on how they will understand more the lessons. I may not be the best teacher but I will do my best to teach my students in all aspects that they deserve to know and learn. The Almighty God, my family and people who believes in me will be my inspiration to be the teacher that I want to be.
