Nonimmigrant Visas
If you are traveling to the United States for a limited time (meaning you are not
intending to remain in the country for residency purposes), you may need to
apply for a visa before entering the U.S.
These are a few of the most commonly requested nonimmigrant visas:
● Business visitor visa (B-1)
● Visitor visa (B-2) for tourism, pleasure, social events, amateur
performances and/or contests, visiting family or friends, or to receive
medical treatment
● NAFTA Professional Visa (TN) for business professionals from Canada or
Mexico
● Student or vocational training visas
● Transit visa for foreign nationals traveling through the U.S. on the way to
another country

US Visa Requirements
Travellers will need the following for their USA visa application:
● An original Nigerian passport that has two blank pages for visa and entry stamps
ands valid for at least six months beyond your return date
● Previous passports (for travel history)
● Barcoded DS-160 form confirmation page
● Appointment confirmation page
● Two colour photos that meet the US visa photo requirements
● Application fee payment receipt:
● Proof of funds (i.e. bank statements, payslips, proof of assets and investments,
etc)
● Supporting documents such as invitation letters, letter of employment,
provisional flight bookings and travel itinerary, etc

Never ask about weight or age, especially in the case of women.
Questions about salary, wealth, cost of things etc. are perceived as interference
in privacy.
Never communicate with strangers before introducing yourself.
If you are smoking and someone coughs, take it as an indication to extinguish
the cigarette.
Always use a toothpick instead of using your hands.
Always be on time, whether it’s an informal or formal meeting.
Never skip people in a queue.
If you and another person arrive at the same time, offer them to step first.
Stop elevators for someone who is close behind you.
Never speak loudly on cell phones in public places.
Choose your clothing according to the occasion.
