17 November 2018 happenings ESMARGUE CAMARADERIE CLASS OF 85 GATHERING KUALA KANGSAR 10-12 November 2018 Some 70-odd members of the graduating Class of 1985 (Esmargue Camaraderie) made their way back to their beloved alma mater last weekend to commemorate their 50th life anniversary. Reflecting on the 5 formative years spent in the estemeed institution that was instrumental in shaping the innocent 12-year old boys they once were into the successful men they now are, they could not help but feel privileged to be among the lucky few chosen from all over the country to be Malay Collegians. While being a student of the Malay College does not necessarily make one greater than others the age-old traditions and the pedigree of the institution that was established way back in 1905 instills in one's bosom a deep sense of pride both in our beloved school and brothers. The run this year saw a record number of almost 80 MCOBs as participants. One of the reasons for that was the reunion of Class of 85, in Kuala Kangsar, who coincidentally "celebrated" their 50th birthday. The participation of C’85 MCOBs brought the unintended but welcome feel of a mini Old Boys' Weekend. The run was divided into three categories; the 7km, 10km and 15km runs which brought participants through various environs including paddy fields, kampung trails, the ever familiar town of Kuala Kangsar and the picturesque Perak River.
