A Sample Product Launching Strategy
SPEND IS
GREATER THAN
PROFIT
Remember that Sponsored Ads are not
magic it doesn't happen overnight.
At the start of your campaign, keep in mind that
your spending will be higher than your profit in
the first few weeks of your campaign. After a few
weeks, you can start tuning in your campaign to
reach your goals like your target ACoS.

FIND THE MOST RELEVANT
KEYWORDS
Get the top 10 keywords (or maybe 20,depends on your budget)
Get your most relevant keywords from Competitor Analysis (using Helium 10 Cerebro
Reverse ASIN Tool), Amazon Search Bar Suggested Search Terms, and other keyword
harvesting techniques.
Analyze those keywords and select up to the top 10 (or 20, if you have a larger budget)
to avoid having keywords with very low bids.
Tip: Do not select the keywords with the highest search volume during your product
launch because those keywords will be too competitive and might eat up lots of your
PPC budget. Select the ones with decent search volumes and target your product spot
on/can only mean your product and nothing else.
LAUNCH A MANUAL CAMPAIGN
FIRST
Exact match + Fixed bidding Strategy + $20 budget(the higher the better)
+ High bids
Start with a manual campaign first because it is a brand new campaign and, Amazon
still doesn't have any records of it so, you can look at it like you are telling Amazon
where you want your product to show up.
The exact match is the most targeted and is perfect if you want to get fewer unwanted
clicks from shoppers not particularly looking for your product. And you also want to
show your ad to your target customers only for the first few weeks of your product
launch.
LAUNCH A MANUAL CAMPAIGN
FIRST
Exact match + Fixed bidding Strategy + $20 budget(the higher the
better) + High bids
Fixed bidding strategy with preferably high bids for the first few weeks because Amazon
doesn't trust a brand new manual campaign and, it might always reduce your bid if you
choose dynamic bidding. This strategy will help increase your chance of being seen by
your target audience. You can also add bid multipliers across placements if you want to
be more aggressive.
WAIT FOR REVIEWS AND
RATINGS
Get at least three reviews from your Manual Campaign
Continue running your manual campaign until you get enough reviews from it ( at least
three are okay) before launching your auto campaign. (You can also run/offer available
promotions on Amazon to get sales and reviews faster.)
Reviews and ratings will help consumers decide whether to buy your product or not, so
you must have enough reviews before launching your auto campaigns since auto
campaigns are less targeted.
LAUNCH YOUR AUTO CAMPAIGN
Start launching your Auto Campaign
It is necessary that your product listing are well-optimized to make the most out of
your auto campaigns. (Even before launching your product, you need to make sure
that your product listing is already well-optimized.)
With a decent amount of reviews and an optimized product listing, you will likely get
conversions for your products.
Continue running your manual campaign with your auto one and, after a few weeks,
you can extract search terms that convert and remove those that don't to create a
more tuned campaign.
