Festival-ready Hairstyles
FESTIVAL-READY HAIRSTYLES YOU CAN EASILY CREATE AT HOME
A festival – surely the place to find the most smiles, festival season is the happiest time of the year. For us ladies, it presents the opportunity to experiment on various choices, fashion and otherwise, that might not necessarily be acceptable in conventional society. So much so for hairstyles, we get to try so many different variations and permutations that we might normally not be able to try in what promises to be another adventure-filled festival.
A few things are advised about festival-themed hairstyles,
They must make you feel comfortable and confident while allowing you to have fun – A festival is meant to be an entertaining experience, there is no room for moments of uneasiness in that plan
They must be functional – a day in the sun is no joke, you must be prepared to style your hair being aware of the conditions you’ll face.
They should be exceptional – the point of doing this is to experiment, so you must go all out!
Knowing all that below are a few festival hairstyles you can easily pull off, even at home:
1. Flower Crowns
It has become somewhat of a fixture in festivals. There really was a time when it was derided and laughed at (oh, so many, many memes), but over recent years, it really has come into its own as more people acknowledge the tenacity of a hairstyle with so much history. Now though, the girls have changed it up by using their natural hair afros with flowers in them resulting in an elegance worthy of being part of the black culture.
2. Boho Waves
Easy steps, remarkable results. The Boho adds a classy touch to curls. You simply must:
Section the hair into large portions
Use a styler to create your ring of natural waves by oscillating the iron backward and forward.
Using your hairspray to ensure the hair stays for the entire day
Garnish it with a Bobbi pin to complete the look.
3. Rainbow Afro
The afro covers a lot of ground in what describes ‘black culture’. And rightly so, the afro provides a full display of hair texture (and many more people attempt it during their transitioning phases). During festivals, however, colors convey the freedom of the events. So, for this next season, try your hair at new and bright colors, uniform or mixed. Just be a tad careful though, I don’t delete pictures, ever!
4. High Top
Close your eyes and change your disposition to a follower of the hip-hop dispensation, go funky with high tops and pair that with a bold look that says you’re the star of the party and watch the scene from the top.
Accessories
From pins to clips, stylers, earrings, hair twisters, micros mist etc. there are a lot of things you can use to compliment your hairstyle. In fact, using accessories on your natural hair itself is a unique hairstyle on its own, and styling them only gets easier by using good hair products such as Tree Naturals products. The best part is that this is a festival, so there are no rules!
