In this week’s Taormina scenario, we discussed Traditional Training Methods and the Electronic Training Methods. I have learned that the lecture/discussion method of training uses two-way communication between the trainees and the trainer to enhance the learning opportunities. It is primarily used to provide trainees with necessary information. A discussion then follows it among the trainees and then between the trainees and the trainer who supports, reinforces, and expands the information which was presented during the lecture. Additionally, virtual training can as well be used in addition to the content delivered through a computer using a combination of audio, text, chat rooms, video or interactive assessment. It can be as necessary as reading a textbook and then answering quizzes based on the digital video.
