Course overview:
An ESL course with an emphasis on Speaking and Listening exclusively to native
speakers of English. Classes are modified to fit the profile of the student based on intial evaluation of their
English skills, the number of 1 on 1 classes, and the duration of their stay.

Course requirements: (Please include all relevant information)
- Entry level All levels are accommodated bases on initial tessing of grammar, vocabulary, reading and
speaking.
- Attendance 100% attendance is expected, but make up lessons may be offered on an individual basis
- Exams and homework Daily instructor evaluation with formal testing as needed to monitor progress.
Homework is assigned on a daily basis and is tailored to fit the relative progression of the student. It may
consist of reading, writing or listening experiences and will usually be evaluated the following class
perion.
- Other activities Social events, fieldtrips, and local shopping with native speakers are available. Evening
group class with a native speaker is also available.
Course objectives:
This course is designed to enhance the English skills of the Japanese second language learner. It is
developed after an evaluation of the present level of the student during the intake interview and testing.
Learning outcome: (optional)
The CPEA student will be offered a variety of courses dependent on their entry English level. Listening to
native speakers and spontaneous response to typical daily conversation will be emphasized. A variety of other
course may be offered.
Teaching Philosophy: (optional)
The CPEA philosophy is to teach the student using real life situations. The repeating of rote speaking
phrases is a minimal part of our instruction. Unscripted role play and current topic discussions are the major
part of all one on one classes.

1 0n 1 classes offer individualized instruction in all disciplines of English. A unique feature is that in all
classes the student with experience spontaneous speaking and listening with a native speaker while working in
the class discipline.

benefit in the end,
they will start
boosting out their
self-confidence
during the
performance.
