Are Conspiracy Theorists On to Something in Recent Las Vegas Shooting?
After the recent Las Vegas shooting that left over 200 casualties in it’s wake, the nation is at it’s highest level of panic yet. Several attempts have been made by the media, psychologists, forensic experts to uncover the nature and intent behind this heinous crime. Was Stephen Paddock just a depressed loner or was he a part of something much bigger? A lot of people are of the opinion that in this case, there definitely is more than meets the eye.
For one, why was he in the possession of so many fire arms? If he was the mentally ill Lone Wolf everyone is making him out to be, how was he able to execute this elaborate plan all on his own? How did everyone miss the broken windows? Why did he wait till the last day of the concert? So many questions linger in our minds; and at a time where no one seems to be providing any answers, we turn to the conspiracy theorists for help. But before we even begin to address theories, let’s discuss obvious irregularities.
When the investigation reports were initially released, the story was as straight as an arrow. Hotel security guard, Jesus Campos had been shot in the leg while attempting to stop Paddock from raining bullets on the crowd. Simple right? Not so much. See, over the past weeks the story has been in constant motion with some reports claiming he was shot 6 minutes before the concert began (which sounds even more suspect). The timeline of Campos' shooting has been shifted not once but twice and this has lead many to question, are the authorities hiding something from us?
Also, why has no one bothered to ask how a 64 year old Paddock was able to carry about 300 pounds of firearms and explosives up 30 floors, set up a comfortable work space, disable alarms and security systems and still manage to remove an 800 pound hurricane proof window without being noticed? How was he able to contain automatic gun power for several minutes with no previous military experience? All these gaping holes in the narrative make us wonder, maybe the conspiracy theories are not too far from the truth? I’ll detail some of the most popular theories making the rounds today.
Antifa: There are theories that suggest that Paddock may have had strong ties with Antifa. President Trump even tweeted from his personal account saying that the FBI had just informed him of Paddock’s association with the anti-government, anti-capitalist militant group. Info wars host Alex Jones also alleged that there was Antifa paraphernalia all over his room.
Illuminati: You know this had to make the list right? Sheila Zilinsky from the website, the weekend vigilante tweeted that Paddock was carrying out a deep set Illuminati blood sacrifice. I don’t know how I feel about this one guys.
Left wing government involvement: some people are claiming that the shooting was orchestrated by the left wing arm of the government to force congress to pass legislation limiting gun attainment rights.
Few others have said that the shooter might have been a recent Islam convert carrying out the terrorist attack to pledge his allegiance to the religion. (Although this one seems lazy, it’s quite popular so it makes the list)
Now this one seems very interesting. Apparently a police officer who was allegedly one of the first to arrive on the scene has posted his suspicions online. In this online post, he claims that the attack was an arms deal gone sour. Now the ammonium nitrate (an essential ingredient in the manufacture of explosives) found in Paddock’s possession, and his known association with military contractors strongly support this particular theory. The officer believes that the terrorist organization Paddock had intended to sell the ammunition to had gunned him down and carried out the attack.
Although many of these theories are unproven and may seem unfounded, they are all we have to hang on to as the authorities have made the decision to leave us in the dark. So maybe Stephen Paddock was just a troubled senior citizen, or maybe he was a piece in a much larger puzzle.
