Discovering Your Child's Innate Nature
Importance of Discovering the Nature of your Child
You may agree that we all have a unique nature. But you could also wonder,"Why is it important
to discover my child’s preferred interests? My child goes to school. He has all that he needs.
Toys, friends, good food and generally he is okay. How will discovering my child’s unique nature
help?"
The answer to this is very simple. Every parent wants their child to be happy, healthy and
successful in their life. Every parent wants to provide the best for their child. To do the same you
must find out their unique nature. The key to their happiness and success even later on in their
the profession would be in this pursuit.
For example, a child loves to sing and has an interest in music. But the child is not allowed for
some reason to express this interest. He is only allowed to pursue a course of academic
routines.
Or a popular routine that other children of his community follow. In this scenario, the child
gradually turns dull and unhappy from within. Why? His preferred interest was not
acknowledged by his family. And he could not pursue what his inherent preferences were.
Now imagine another scenario. The child loves music. His parents recognised his interest.
Supports and allows the child to express himself musically. This child, later on, emerges in the
world as the next great singer!
This is the power of our inherent qualities. Only when we recognise, allow and support its
growth, the possibilities are many.
Potential to Being
A mongo seed can only turn into a mango tree. Isn't it? That is the potential of the mango seed.
No matter how hard one tries to change the mango seed so that it becomes a coconut tree, it’s
not possible! In fact, the seed may not respond to the cultivation and not grow at all. Sadly many
parents out of sheer innocence force their child to pursue a field that may not relate to them at
all. Thereby their potential never tapped into. So it’s important to reflect and be willing to see our
children as an unbiased observer. Children are born into this world to evolve. And we must help
them in all possible ways. This is is your duty as a parent. Honour your child by discovering their
natural gifts. Support them in pursuing their unique talents.

Nature Teaches By Setting Valuable Examples.
Ready To Learn, Unlearn, Relearn?
Nature teaches by setting valuable examples. It exhibits wisdom in action. If we learn to observe
nature, we can be a witness to its teachings, gaining in unimaginable ways.
But to learn anything, one must be teachable. And to be teachable, one must be humble enough
to know that one does not know.
“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who
cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”
― Alvin Toffler
When one recognises that one does not know and is willing to be taught, this very simplicity
helps one to be on the right track.
