Ashes are scattered in the air and thick smoke covered the sky. A chaotic scenario can be seen from above, an endless suffocation that drew the forest out of breath. The Lungs of the Planet is Now Compromised The Amazon rainforest is the largest rainforest in the globe which is also known to be the "Lungs of the Planet." It contributes to the 20% of oxygen in the atmosphere which is a vital role in our environment. Recently, the Amazon rainforest was reported to be in grave danger because of a terrorizing wildfire which still currently devours a lot of trees ahead. There are some speculations about the cause of the wildfire. Christian Poirier, the program director of a non-profit organization Amazon Watch said, "The vast majority of these fires are human-lit." Fire is used to clear lands for farming and ranching so there is a big possibility that this was actually a human-made disaster. But whatever the reason is, an irrevocable damage has already happened and still happening. This catastrophe will greatly affect our planet's condition. Since the Amazon rainforest is responsible for a huge amount of oxygen, then its destruction will definitely disrupt the existing harmony in the Earth. Due to this phenomena, the Amazon rainforest will produce an enormous amount of carbon dioxide instead of oxygen that will disturbed the natural greenhouse effect. But certainly, you don't just start a story right off the bat. An excellent writer needs to carefully and systematically plan an overview of the story that includes planning the flow of the story and the plot. However, many writers are still having a hard time in crafting a plot since they are quite unfamiliar about it. Well, guess what? Meaning, it only exists to bring a brief introduction to the story, sometimes it lacks a bit of flavor. But hey, we are in peak of literature so it is not bad to reinvent the concept of an exposition. However, they are just essentially the same. Since the goal of this element is to serve as a burning coal that will bring some heat and thrill to the story. This is the part of the story where problems or conflict will start to arise. In the exposition phase, you may have introduce the main character as a charming and kindhearted maiden in a faraway land. But everything is bound to change in this world and that includes the world that you are writing. Hence, the Rising Action answers the questions: "What changed?" or "What is the problem?" It is ideal to write a rising action in a way that will put the characters in a massive transition where they have to go out of their comfort zone in order to resolve the lingering conflict. Since just as the name suggests, this is where the storyline will gradually progress or rise up so that the audiences will find more thrill and fun in reading it. Imagine riding a rollercoaster, no one wants to ride a stagnant roller coaster since the customers are there for the hype and the fun of triggering their adrenaline to the fullest. That same concept goes with writing a rising action, you should write it in a way that will tingle the interest of the readers. Climax Here goes the best-selling-point of a novel, this is the part where the story will finally reach its maturity-it is fully ripe so make sure that the readers would want to grab it and devour every details. Writing a climax is a bit tricky, since this is the perfect time to insert the mind-blowing 'plot-twist' that you have been hiding beneath your sleeves. May it be the revelation of the protagonist's history only to find out that his life has been a huge lie, discovering the hidden affair of a cheating husband and discovering that imthe mistress was the protagonist's friend all along, or that time when the protagonist went to an intense battle with the antagonist only to realize that it was actually his brother. It will be ideal to leave some crumbs of unresolved mysteries for the next element. The main point of a climax is drive you readers at the edge of their seats, it is the part where the tension that you have been building up since the rising action part will finally explode. It is the essence of a story, so make sure to write this part as something that the readers will remember the most. Falling Action So we have come this far, after the sweat-inducing scenes from the climax it is now time for all the tensions to gradually dissipate. This is the aftermath of all the damages that has had happened from the climax. What did the characters do after the dramatic event that transpired? This is the question that should he answered in this part. It is also the point where the major conflict will be resolved after a series of tension-driven events. This will provide a solution to the conflict that exhausted the characters to the bones. For instance, the cheated wife learned to forgive her friend and husband's hidden affair, the protagonist finally accepted the truth despite being deceived, or the emotional confrontation of protagonist and the antagonist who also happened to be his brother. In other words, it is giving all the novel's problems to rest and the part where all the plot points will be fully justified. Ending Ah yes, it has been a wild ride since the start of the novel and now here you are, writing the supposedly conclusive ending kf your story. In the field of war for rights; their battle cries remained unheard. Agriculture has been one of the poorest sector in the Philippines despite its huge contribution in our economy. Now, it is yet again, facing another pang of suffering when President Rodrigo Duterte signed a certain law that will liberate the almost limitless importation of cheap foreign rice. This law is known as the Rice Tariffication Law or the Republic Act 11203. It aims to lessen the soaring rate of inflation in our country but the solution that it originally offers only ignited another conflict with our local farmers. Amidst the sorrowful lamenting of farmers is the government claiming that they already disbursed 6 billion peso worth of assistance for the poor farmer under the Rice Competitive Enhancements Fund (RCEF) and the remaining remaining 4 billion will be release before the end of the month. However, the huge amount of money that they claim to provide is like a bridge that barely reach its destination to the people who genuinely need it. They are like dried crops with no hope of being showered with the rightful aid. Formerly, they can sell their palay for 17-18 peso per kilo but now their sales fluctuated to 10 peso per kilo and can even go as low as 8 peso per kilo during harvest season. Just imagine how they can manage to split their income evenly; for their fertilizers, crops, tools and equipment. It is shamefully disappointing that we can able to support the foreign rice but unable to support ours; that we are paying those alienated businesses while financially deteriorating our local farmers. I hope the government can come up into a more efficient and encompassing law that will benefit not only the politicians, foreign investors and business tycoons but the whole nation as well. Each one of us, regardless of our economic status, are part of this society and it is the government's responsibility to ensure that a holistic approach will be fairly done.
