Spanish Literary Night: An Enthralling Spanish Language Party in Saint Lucia Thursday October 6, 2016 promises to be an enchanting, mesmeric night of Spanish literary culture! This month, Saint Lucia and Spain commemorates the 30th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relationship. To celebrate this milestone, the Embassy of Spain in Saint Lucia, in collaboration with Headphunk will host a special Spanish Literary Night, under the theme, ‘Musings on the Way to Peace,’ this Thursday at the Pigeon Island National Landmark from 7pm. The evening will offer a magnificent taste of Spanish literature, art and tradition as local Saint Lucian actors, poets and artistes, interpret the words of revered Spanish Poets. Spanish Literary Night is an artistic opportunity to immerse yourself in Spanish culture, and creatively and to appreciate and gain insight Spanish language and heritage. As the relationship between Spain and Saint Lucia grows stronger and longer, the Embassy is intent on organizing events which will promote cultural exchanges between local and Spanish Artists; activities which aim to highlight the cultural and social ties between both countries. Moreover the Embassy of Spain in Saint Lucia says understanding and loving Spanish literature and culture is the truest way to learn the language. Spanish Literary Night is therefore another unique initiative organized by the Embassy of Spain, in their joint efforts with the Embassy of Mexico to promote the Spanish language in the English Speaking Caribbean States.
