Community Activism
Community Activism:
For human society to experience social transformation, public movements are needed to promote participatory democracy and social awareness. Community activism encourages positive change needed to tackle grassroots problems. Community activism can be defined as a communal collaboration of individuals, groups, and organizations working together to achieve a common goal; that will bring about radical economic, cultural, and environmental transformations. Most community activists are known to fight against health and social disparities, discrimination, and oppressive situations. Fundamentally, they aim to create social and cultural changes by fighting against in-justice while representing the underprivileged. They also promote community development by promoting social and economic growth and infrastructural development.
