A simple, entry-level blogpost; researched and put together
(H1)Why Do I Choose A Xiaomi Smartphone?
It goes without saying that smartphones are a critical and useful part of our day-to-day routine.
Smartphones have become such an integral part of us that it would be difficult to imagine life without
them. Think about it for a second, what other technology offers quick connections, unlimited
entertainment and a horde of productive tools, all at the same time? It would not be wrong to say that
smartphones are now as important to us as oxygen is to life.
With the advent of modern technology and assembly mechanisms, a large number of smartphone
manufacturers have sprung up all over the globe. Xiaomi is one such brand that has become the talk of
the town these days. Since its inception in 2010, the brand has already established itself as one of the
leaders among the long list of manufacturers. With so many different brands to choose from, you may
still be wondering why you should go for Xiaomi. So, we’ll try to give you different reasons, backed by
facts, to tell you how going for Xiaomi might be one of the best decisions you will ever make.
(H2)Premium Hardware- Made To Last:
Although Xiaomi is a relatively new player in the market, there’s no reason to believe that it’s not a
reliable one. Xiaomi smartphones are as good as they come. The materials used in their phone
manufacturing process are quality-tested and reliable. From full metal body to glass body, Xiaomi has
truly perfected the art of impressive smartphone builds. This goes hand in hand with their inner
hardware quality, which has been proven to be one of the best out there. Xiaomi’s naming as one of
Russia’s best brands is a visual proof of the company’s dedication to quality products. The company also
continues to maintain its position on the home turf by winning China’s 2018 quality technology awards.
(H2)MIUI:
Like other major smartphone players, such as Apple and Samsung, Xiaomi has also tested the waters
with its own custom skin, the MIUI. Needless to say, the ROM skin is pretty sleek and quite advanced for
its time. The availability of unique and Xiaomi exclusive features such as the navigation gestures and the
volume slider is just the icing on the cake. This Xiaomi developed skin has a ton of features that stock
Android and other manufacturer skins lack. Xiaomi has taken the moral ground here by allowing its skin
to be downloadable on other phones as well. So, if you like your Xiaomi phone’s layout or would just like
to test the skin out on your older phone, all you have to do is simply download and install the files from
the official Xiaomi MIUI website.
(H2)Capture Your World:
With the increasing advancements in technology, smartphones are on the verge of replacing cameras.
With their cutting edge technology and enticing software controls, they have become the top choice for
day to day camera users. If there is one thing more than the MIUI that Xiaomi phones are known for, it’s
their cutting-edge camera technology. Even the budget Xiaomi phones sport impressive camera
modules and technology. Moving on to the latest flagships, Xiaomi totally hands down kills it. Take the
Redmi K20 Pro for example. The beast comes with a total of 3 rear camera, bearing a 48 megapixel, an 8
megapixel, and a 13-megapixel lens respectively. While looking at smartphone cameras, one thing must
be kept in mind. The megapixels count cannot act as a standalone medium for judging a camera’s
picture quality. Other features such as the lens aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) must also
be kept in mind. Xiaomi easily takes the prize home in this category too, with the respective f/1.75,
f/2.4, and f/2.4 lens apertures of the Redmi K20 Pro’s 3 rear cameras. The 20-megapixel front camera
also takes the lead as one of the best selfie shooters available in the market. The recently introduced
bokeh effect has almost eliminated the need for traditional camera setups. Who even needs those bulky
pieces of hardware anymore? Just take out your favorite Xiaomi phone and snap a photo on the go. It’s
as easy as 1.2.3…
(H2)No Bloatware:
Let’s face it, nobody likes bloatware. Why smartphone manufacturers still continue to ship it with their
flagships is beyond me. Who even uses those non-removable apps anymore? The mere presence of such
unwanted apps is a security concern and is also plain annoying. You paid for your smartphone and it
only makes sense to be able to do with it as you please. These apps not only take extra space, which can
be quite crucial in this day and age, but also strain the smartphone’s RAM and processor by running in
the background. Now, with other manufacturers, you have to go the root route (pun intended), to
remove such unwanted apps. But not with Xiaomi. Xiaomi phones come with only a handful of useful
apps preinstalled. Even these handy apps, such as the Browser, Notes, and music can be disabled or
outright uninstalled on a whim. This is my favorite aspect of Xiaomi devices. Finally, a smartphone
manufacturer that respects their users’ integrity and lets them decide which apps to uninstall and which
ones to keep on their devices.
(H2)Premium technology at dirt cheap prices:
The discussion has led us to the final point of this blog post, i.e., the price. If you haven’t been living
under the rock for the past few years, chances are that you know how affordable Xiaomi devices are.
This, coupled with their proven reliability, makes for the perfect combination. The company has been
such a hit all over the world that its new devices are giving the established brands, a run for their
money.
Now, you may be wondering how Xiaomi manages to sell its devices at such low rates, while still being
so profitable. The answer lies in the company’s old school business model. Xiaomi tries to sell its devices
as close to the manufacturing costs, as possible. As the manufacturing costs drop due to increased
production, the company extracts huge profits from the increasing demand. This is all connected in a
very simple yet highly rewarding way.
