The word “cleansing” has been used by many but still it has been misunderstood and being misused in the field of nutrition. But as defining it, cleansing is something we give our system some rest or what we called “time-out” from the foods that are unhealthy and other pollutants that attacks our cells. Giving rest to our system can last from days to months which can be beneficial for us in having a long life. Cleansing is like a slow computer being restarted and bringing back to its old self.
Cleansing will help a lot in doing a jump-start regimen and will also help in cleaning one’s body. And if you are trying to change your routine, a 2 day cleanse is a good way to achieve those goals.
To start off with cleansing, first you have to know what type of cleansing you like better. 2 day cleanse is done by fasting or using diet juice or by the used of some cleansing product which can be bought on some food store or drugstore.
If you have never tried fasting before, juice diet from fruits and vegetables as a full cleanse is a good option. Fasting can be draining and can make your blood sugar low making you inactive and wobbly. But with juice diet, you can drink a lot of water the entire day.
Preparing your environment can be set the mood for cleansing. You can do your 2 day cleanse diet on weekend so you can be at home especially if you feel dizzy during the cleansing process. Choose a time when it is quite so you can meditate and relax.
If you are going to try some cleansing products, read the label first. Most of them can cause your stomach some pain and diarrhea although these are normal effects. If you have decided to use them, drink a lot of water and stay at home. Drinking a lot of water will help in flushing out the toxins being released during cleansing and will keep your body to function well in spite of the low calories you take. If you are feel sick, you can try adding some foods. You can still cleanse by eating steamed vegetables like spinach and broccoli.
You can still stay active by walking twice a day. It will help in processing the food and helps in clearing the toxins and also maintain your energy level.
It would also be advisable not to eat around six in the evening to have rest from food intake the entire night. Keep in mind that you give your digestive system some break and giving your body a catch up in getting rid of toxins and body waste.
