TV COMMERCIAL SCRIPT – BOSE A screenwriter sits at his desk and opens his laptop. He is about to continue the screenplay he’s been working on. He starts typing to pick up where he left off. As he types, we hear his thoughts and the words he writes in his story. "The man is standing at the top of the hill, and the portal in front of him begins to grow until it absorbs him..." Outside, noises from the street break his concentration. He stops. He goes over to the window and looks out onto the street, there is horrible traffic and all the cars are honking their horns. He takes some ordinary earphones out of his desk drawer, hoping that they will help him concentrate on his writing. The music is switched on, the street noises are partially isolated and he starts writing again. "The man is standing at the top of the hill, and the portal in front of him begins to grow until it absorbs him completely. He disappears through the portal, and is transported from Earth..." The man's concentration wavers again, this time, it's construction noises in a building across the street. They sound too loud. He realizes that these earphones are not enough to cancel the external noises. He gets up in annoyance and goes to the living room. There’s a girl there, his flat mate. He notices that she is leaving and walks out the door. She has left his Bose headphones on the table. Tempted to try them out, he picks them up and takes them to his room. He sits down again, he switches on the noise cancelling feature and puts on the Bose headphones. This time, he manages to cancel all external noises, nothing can be heard at all. He plays his music again and finally resumes his writing. "The man is standing at the top of the hill, and the portal in front of him begins to grow until it absorbs him completely. He disappears through the portal, and he is transported from Earth into Outer Space. He is incredibly astonished to realize that he can breathe in the blistering cold of the dark, infinite, vast universe. He moves through space at unimaginable speeds, crossing through huge masses of gas and neutron stars". For the writer, an immersive journey begins. He is one with the music, he feels disconnected from everything that surrounded him before. The staggering sound quality of Bose and its noise cancelling feature immerses him in a world of incredible sensations, he connects with the music at levels he never expected, and with his fictional character and the world in the story. We see his character traveling through the universe, through the solar system, the galaxy, through nebulae and pulsars. The character closes his eyes, as he feels completely relaxed and surrendered to the interstellar journey. He opens his eyes, and this time the writer visualizes himself instead of his character, there, in that vast and splendid void of the cosmos we call The Universe.
