Game Description Manual
WonderTree video games are specifically designed for kids with extra needs to inculcate different skills in kids with extra needs. These skills include preacademic skills, functional, cognitive and motor skills. The content of the game provides education and therapy sideways.
System Requirements
The system runs seamlessly with following settings;
64-bit (x64) processor
4 GB Memory (or more)
Physical dual-core 3.1 GHz (2 logical cores per physical) or faster processor
USB 3.0 controller dedicated to the Kinect for Windows v2 sensor*
DX11 capable graphics adapter** Higher the graphics card the better performance
A Microsoft Kinect v2 sensor, which includes a power hub and USB cabling

Game Set-up:
Here are some simple steps to get your Kinect sensor up and running to get you started with the games.
Step 1: Mount the Sensor on a Stable Surface
1. Place the sensor on a stable surface in a location and ensure it does not fall or struck during use. Here are some other tips.
2. Do not place the Kinect on or in front of a speaker or on a surface that vibrates or makes noise.
3. Keep the Kinect out from the range of direct sunlight.
4. Use the Kinect within its specified operating temperature range of 41 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit (5 to 35 degrees Celsius). If the sensor is exposed to an environment outside of its prescribed temperature range, turn it off and allow the temperature to stabilize within the specified range before you use the sensor again.
Do not tilt a Kinect from its base. Manually tilting the Kinect can damage the sensor. The Kinect tilt angle is controlled by software.
Step 2: Install the Kinect for Windows SDK
1. If you haven't done so already, download and install the free SDK from the Kinect for Windows download page.
2. If you haven't done so already, download and install the free Developer Toolkit from the Kinect for Windows download page.
Step 3: Plug in your Kinect sensor
1. Connect the power supply for your Kinect to an external power source.
2. Connect the Kinect to a USB port on your PC and wait for Windows to recognize it.
3. All the drivers, including audio, will load seamlessly.

The game library features four games;

Bucket Ball:
How to play?
It is an endless game where the child collects balls falling on the screen using physical or virtual basket. The child moves the basket to catch the balls and collects it in the basket. The game has different levels and with every level the difficulty goes up.
1. Provide clear verbal instructions about how to play game (Example: hold the bucket and catch the objects falling on screen in your bucket).
2. Provide demonstration to model.
3. The child has to collect round balls only; skipping spikes ball in red.
4. Help the child to sort between the two types of balls.
5. If the child has short attention span; provide the game for 3mins at first (max). Then gradually increase the time.
6. Provide definite “STARTS” & “ENDS” verbally (too).
7. Provide verbal non-tangible reinforcements (Example: “Good-job”, “Excellent”, “Very-Nice”, etc).

Wonder Paint
How to play?
This game comes with two modes.
* Free paint:
The game features a color palette and a blank slate. The child can select any color of his choice from the palette to scribble and draw lines, shapes, objects, letters, numbers etc.

* Alpha paint:
In this mode, the child has to trace alphabets following the specified path patterns. The child will be given visual reinforce on successful trials every time.
1. Provide clear verbal instructions about how to play game (Example: Grab the color, drag along and drop. Use “GRAB”-“DRAG” – “DROP” chorus)
2. Help the child master free paint first.
3. Hold child’s hand on colors and eraser until it blinks which shows that the item has been selected.
4. Make the child draw vertical, horizontal, diagonal, curve and zigzag lines first. Then advance on to basic shapes.
5. Provide verbal stimulation of phonics sound of letter that is being trace by child
6. Ask the child to name different things that starts with particular phonics while he/she is tracing.

Balancing Game
How to play?
* Balance It:
The child has to raise his hands parallel to his head/ above the shoulder. Place/ adjust his body on the sphere shown on screen (it’s where the object will fall). Keep a distance of 1.5 meters from the screen and wait till the sphere on screen turns blue. This shows that the child is detected by the system. A wooden log will appear on screen between his hands. The object will drop on the log. The child has to catch the object and balance it for the specific period of time (seconds) as shown on the screen to level up.

* Catch & drop:
The child has to raise his hands parallel to his head/ above the shoulder. Place/ adjust his body on the sphere shown on screen (it’s where the object will fall). A wooden log will appear on screen between his hands. The object will drop on the log. The child has to catch the object, balance it and then drop it in the basket shown on the screen. The child has to catch specified number of objects every time to level up.
1. Provide clear verbal instructions about how to play game (Example: Raise our hands up and stay in the position, balance the oranges between your hands. etc)
2. You can use the game Statue-Statue to help achieve stability in children.
3. Expose the game to child for a few seconds (depending upon child’s attention span and stamina) the gradually increase the time.
4. Once the child has learnt to balance the objects advance to next mode which is catch and drop.
Bubble Pop
How to play?
1. Provide clear verbal instructions about how to play game (Example: Pop the particles using hands and head)
2. The child has to pop colorful particles and avoid getting in touch with fire balls which would make them loose lives.
3. Assist the child to use complete body to pop the balls.
