Building a Team

Purpose
The objective is to build a new team that is capable of recommending a
new performance evaluation system.
Roles and Behaviors of the Team
This team will display the following characteristics:
Honesty
Proper utilization of facts
Career outlook
Divide the responsibilities
All members work with effort and the right attitude
Members are willing challenge each other
Understanding of roles
Proper execution of tasks
Best Practices for Influencing the Team
for Performance and Productivity
Training and motivation are essential.
Ways to Empower and Improve the Team’s Productivity:
Establish communication methods
Understand team members strengths and weaknesses
Create a good working environment
Provide feedback
Create reasonable expectations
Encourage team members to make decisions
Reward and Compensation for Team
When a goal is achieved, the team members will be publicly recognized
and thanked for their hard work.
Social events, outings, and other activities encouraging collaboration and
recognizing individuals for their commitment.
Paid generous bonuses for high performance.
Provide team members with opportunity for growth and increased
responsibilities.
Interpersonal Processes to Influence
the Effectiveness of the Team
Implement activities that force team members to get to know one another
better.
Provide proper coaching and examples of other successful teams.
Highlight the importance of each team member and the fact that we are
dependent on each other.
Institute activities, such as professional development or training, that
enhance team members confidence.
Hold social gatherings where the main objective is to let loose and just
have some fun.

Being transparent and letting the other person know what you are doing
and why you are doing it.
Have an open door policy.
Discuss individual roles and responsibilities.
Use technology regularly and have meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Establish a structure that allows team members to be effective.
Implement a system for checks and balances.

Appropriate Collaboration and
Strategy to Develop Team Intelligence
Share knowledge and resources.
Welcome conflict and work through adversity to build the strength of the
team.
Appreciate diversity and understand the tendencies of certain people.
Eliminate being judgmental and discourage biases.
Highlighting the importance of being present both physically and
emotionally, while listening and suggesting appropriate resolutions.

This team should be successful in implementing a new performance
evaluation system because individual behaviors have been assessed,
complimentary member skills have been analyzed and an emphasis is
going to placed on the importance of having a positive dynamic.
Conclusion
As the leader of this problem-solving team, it is my priority to reiterate
critical information.
The team will eventually work as a cohesive unit.
Team performance and productivity are essential and will be established.
Team members are going to be rewarded appropriately.
Interpersonal relationships must be addressed.
Effective team-member communication is essential.
Developing team intelligence though activities and conflict resolution.
Consistent coaching and motivation to ensure quality performance.
