Terrorism and How to combat it
The terrorist activities have scaled many times since their beginning. The
terrorists have changed their method and mode of attack. Now a group
of terrorists, equipped with destructive material , strike and attack each
place of security. The police centers , the FIA buildings, the airports and
GHQ, etc are not secure now. They are attacked and bombarded at any
time. The educational institutions have become favourite places of
attack for the terrorists.
The main objective of the terrorists is to create
panic and harassment in the public. The suicide attacks by the terrorists
kill innocent men, women and children. When a suicide bomber strikes a
place or a person , scenes of ghastly bloodshed are witnessed. The
question arises how to tackle this issue.
We are fighting terrorism on administrative level
only. This is good in itself but this is not sufficient . We are launching
operations against the terrorists I various regions. WE have rightly
erected check posts. Strict measures have been adopted by the police
and law enforcing agencies. All the government and public buildings
have been made security proof. The educational institutions are strictly
watched and guarded. The banks, the restaurants , the railway stations
and bus stops etc are put to great vigilance. Many crackdown against the
suspects have been launched. These measures are no doubt timely and
have minimized the chances of terrorism but we have not been
successful in tackling this issue.
We cannot fight it successfully unless we combat it
on ideological level. We must know that this wave of terrorism has
come to our state after-. The America and Afghan war is the
root cause of this war. Without going in details of the history , we can
say that America has shifted the focus of war to Pakistan. All the
militants trained in Afghanistan have been infiltrated into Pakistan. They
have been trained and funded by America , India and Israel . There are
evidences that Indian Agency RAW is directly involved in fueling the fire
of terrorism. America has its own nefarious designs in this game. It
wants to seize and control our nuclear weapons. We cannot succeed in
combating terrorism unless we have a government with strong political
will. It must refuse to fight a battle which has been imported. It should
try to fight against the American influence in the country and in this way
it can win the sympathy of public at large
Secondly, we should adopt a uniform system of
education. Our religious madrasahs have become nurseries for
producing suicide bombers. Students coming out of thee institutions are
ill suited and ill trained to plug into the system. They are hardly exposed
to the outside world. An offer of a million rupees for becoming a suicide
bomber is an attractive proposition for a young man. He cannot expect
to earn this much money the whole of his life. We should try to re
orientate our religious institutions.
The suicide bombers come from areas which are
backward and poverty stricken. Our religious institutions should be
forced to impart modern , and worldly orientated education to the
students. This will stop the birth of suicide bombers.
We can combat terrorism at the public level also.
Terrorism has entered every section of the society. It can be tided over
without the active efforts and cooperation of the public
