ELECTRICAL SAFETY ENERGY AUDIT UN-WFP COUNTRY OFFICE BUILDING
ACTIVITY REPORT
1) INTRODUCTION
i)
Background
The basic purpose of electrical safety energy audit at UN-WFP Country Office
building is to inspect, test, analyze and mitigate the risks associated with
electrical systems and equipment with the purpose of maintaining safe
operations and reducing system interactions and equipment breakdown. When
the object of study is an occupied building then reducing energy consumption
while maintaining or improving human comfort, health and safety are of primary
concern. Beyond simply identifying the sources of energy use, an energy audit
seeks to prioritize the energy uses according to the greatest to least cost
effective opportunities for energy savings.
Scope of the Evaluation
1
To achieve properly engineered electrical distribution system by evaluating the
electrical load and operating load requirements for UNWFP building. The
purpose of this assessment is to review the design drawings and physical power
distribution network including power regulator/ control system to determine the
rating of electrical wiring/ transmission systems. The building is already equipped
with electrical infrastructure but may require improvements works.

FLUE GAS/STACK EMISSION ANALYSIS OF TWO DG SETS.
There were two generators installed at UN-WFP Country office building, first unit is of 230 KVA FG
Wilson Model P-230H and another unit of 500 KVA FG Wilson Model P-500H. Flue gas analysis was
carried out at On-Load state in order to check the efficiency of combustion.
