If you deal with cash transactions or don’t enter all transactions in Xero before you import bank statements, set up bank rules. The two most important reports you should be checking weekly can be displayed easily on your dashboard for a quick health check of the business. These reports are your Profit and Loss Statement and your Cash Flow report. Bank rules are a quicker and easier way to reconcile imported bank statements.You set up the rules to match your imported statement lines. After you import a bank statement and go to reconcile your account, your rules run.
