After redefining my career and completing several User Experience & Design courses, I’ve become a

and enjoy my job as a User Experience Designer / Product Designer. I also enjoy visual design
and graphic design work, as well as using my leadership skills aan mentoring others in any way I can.

GOALS
Digital Transformation
Commercial Banking
• Provide an efficient, one-stop enterprise portal for Bankers,
Underwriters, and Operations for managing client business banking,
leads and prospects as well as conduct and monitor risk and the
client’s banking offers/features
• Give the client a seamless user experience that includes transparency
with bank, attention to personalization and proactive communication
and notifications to and from the bank/system.
APPROACH
• The design team, led with strong business & technical insight, was given the liberty to be
quite forward thinking and, after months of discovery, we were able to introduce many new
ideas that capitalized on modern technology (API driven, big data, AI & machine learning),
while creatively pushing the throttle on how the users “think”and “execute” their work;
ultimately, changing Commercial Banking as it is done today.
• The goal was to introduce new and “aspirational” user experiences that the bank could target
incrementally over the next 3 - 5 years

Discovery
• Senior management was interviewed
• A workgroup was formed - Product Owners, UX Designers, Bankers
(users), Underwriters (users), & their management was created and
design sprints were started with the team
• Select clients in Business Banking were selected for user interviews and
feedback
• Many Use Cases were defined and targeted for features & designs
• Existing applications used were given heuristic evaluations
• Design workshops were conducted on weekly basis for 2 months
• All findings were documented (Personas, User Journeys, Task Mapping,
Heuristic evaluations, wireframes)
• Main Discovery lasted 6 weeks but user involvement within team
persisted for 6 months

WORKSHOPS
Ideation & team involvement
I led most workshops with other designers and
we found that due to the complexity of the work, we identified
several common use cases that highlighted 85% of the most
common features and designed prototypes that reflected “real
scenario” workflows for these use cases. Later, we did “gap
analysis” for these and worked out the designed even further

Enterprise Financial
Analysis - submissions
GOALS
• Automate and streamline the financial submissions via a new portal
site, giving the analysts more time to do important financial analysis of
the financial data and prepare the final decks to senior management
• Provide an online site to manage key reports for the corporation’s
financials for P&A users by designing a self-service reporting portal
CHALLENGES
• The UI was in very poor shape when I joined. There were many workflow
issues, styling inconsistencies, and improper use of UI elements, as well as
responsiveness and HTML/CSS issues
• Workflow and validation of submissions was complex, confusing at first, and
needed to be clear to the user

GOALS
• Design new UX/UI for the company’s
Account Based Marketing (ABM) platform
• Design new online ordering and inventory system
• Introduce data visualization for B2B customers to view their
campaign’s progress
CHALLENGE
• The company was growing quickly and had a complex and outdated legacy
platform, both from a technical and UX/UI perspective
• The user’s workflow and tasks had changed over the years and the platform had not
keep in touch with their workflow, and business was not working closely with tech
• Company had never used designed thinking and user experience practices (nor Agile)

LEGACY SITE - WHAT IT WAS
More screens & related work available upon request
• Difficult to read what’s going on
• Grid based with too much information for
the users to find what they need
• Users had to visit several different areas of
site to get a good picture of the campaign
or client
• Not API based and difficult to maintain from
technology POV

DISCOVERY - SHADOWING USERS
More screens & related work available upon request
When I first joined the company as a consultant, I worked closely with the
users, shadowing their daily work for about 3 weeks; as well as spending a
lot of time with product owners and stakeholders. I was the only person
focusing on the user experience and UI work in the company.
I started to introduce the company to interactive Balsamiq wireframes early
on to test the design thinking I had come up with. Users were shocked and
pleased that this was being done. In the past they were just given software
to use without their having much input to the design.
As I learned the workflow and business, it became clear that the workflow
did not keep up with the way the business had grown. I started to design a
new workflow with the product owners.

Helping Musicians find Gigs and more
GigZ
Mobile App
Case Study
GOALS
• Design a mobile app to make it easier for musicians to find gigs in
venues (within a geographical area), and apply for gigs
• Help to cut out the middle man (booking agent)
• Offer a solution that can grow in features over time, i.e. rating of
venues and musicians, show availability of the musicians themselves to
venues, plus features for Venues
CHALLENGE
• Make it easy for musicians to find venues that have availability
• The app had to work by proximity (location), allowing the user to find
things with a map
• Create ranking system and offer additional features in the future
• Make it practical for a musician to show their availability
• Maybe offer a value to Venues in offering features to find available
musicians ready to be booked
