Project Name: Better Feed
About Node.js
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Better Feed is a unique solution offering its users a platform
to crowd-source information related to restaurants and
offers and to easily schedule events with friends and family.
The objective of the application is to provide the most useful,
comprehensive and best food or restaurant related
information for its users.

coworkers, fellow students, and others to food events with the
ability for them to collaborate on location options
⚫
Provide users interesting, informative, and compelling analytics
and nutritional information to help them determine where and
what to eat.
Node.js, often referred to simply as Node, is an open source, crossplatform runtime for developing front end, server side, desktop, mobile
and IoT web applications. Node.js works well in modern webconnected applications that need to gather data from different sources
consolidate that data and push it to many clients in real-time. This
makes it an excellent technology to bridge existing systems as it
provides an easily deployable migration layer for different uses. Since
its inception in 2009, Node.js has been one of the fastest growing open
source infrastructure projects of all time.
The Requirement
The Better Feed team was in the look out to develop a robust solution
that will transform the way users deal with information related and
relevant to food and restaurants. Better Feed approached Vidushi
Infotech for its process of digital transformation and business growth
strategies. The desired application had to be both mobile and web app
with four different user types and was intended to bring rich search
capabilities for users who have allergies or restrictive diets,
collaboration capabilities when going out with friends and family, and
a personal journal for tracking your individual dining experiences.
The Challenge
One critical element of the requirement is the mechanism that will allow
all the usability features to be rapidly developed and deployed. Vidushi
Infotech put in place a continuous delivery and deployment pipeline.
This pipeline enabled to build-measure-learn cycles, which quickly
brought new ideas to the fore in a very short amount of time. The
challenge behind an enhanced digital experience is continuous tuning,
which is based on data that is derived from customer interactions.

The Solution
Vidushi Infotech stepped in to work with key stakeholders and
provide guidance on open source foundation concepts, how to
unify a roadmap and how to decide what operational support was
needed. Due to extensive experience in IT industry and in setting
up collaborative projects the Vidushi team considered Node.js for
the project.
Node.js is considered to be the biggest digital transformation
platform powering everything from web, IoT and desktop
applications to micro service architectures. It is the runtime of
choice for high-performance, low latency applications, powering
everything from enterprise applications, cloud stacks and mobile
websites. To render the front end of its interactive portal Angular
JS was used.
The Result
The delivered project is the result of various discussion rounds held
between team members of Vidushi Infotech and Better Feed. We
also bring in a perfect balance of professionalism and userfriendliness
to the solution.

struggled with growing pains. The original development was
funded by Joyent (acquired by Samsung) and after almost
three years of breakneck development, the project had grown
substantially and had hundreds of thousands of developers
downstream who were becoming increasingly reliant on
Node.
