CASE STUDY- BETTERFEED THE BACKGROUND Better Feed is a unique solution offering its users a platform to crowd-source information related to restaurants and offers and to easily schedule events with friends and family. The objective of the application is to provide the most useful, comprehensive and best food or restaurant related information for its users. Better Feed accomplish the following goals: ➢ Provide users timely, relevant, and comprehensive restaurant and promotional information. ➢ Provide users the ability to add and modify restaurants, promotions, menu items, and other content relevant and personalized to them. ➢ Provide users with the ability to invite friends, family, coworkers, fellow students, and others to food events with the ability for them to collaborate on location options. ➢ Provide users interesting, informative, and compelling analytics and nutritional information to help them determine where and what to eat. REQUIREMENT The Better Feed team was in the look out to develop a robust solution that will transform the way users deal with information related and relevant to food and restaurants. Better Feed approached Vidushi Infotech for its process of digital transformation and business growth strategies. The desired application had to be both mobile and web app with four different user types and was intended to bring rich search capabilities for users who have allergies or restrictive diets, collaboration capabilities when going out with friends and family, and a personal journal for tracking your individual dining experiences. IMPLEMENTING SOLUTION All rights reserved. Vidushi™ InfoTech Angular JS and Node JS was used for web application development and Microsoft Azure DocumentDB for web server. Related to mobile application development Xcode tool used for iOS application development and Android studio used to develop Android application. As a part of this requirement the Vidushi Infotech expert development team selected Node.js as its language of innovation. Node.js was chosen for two main reasons: 1. Ability to enable rapid delivery – going from concept to working prototype in a short space of time. 2. Its attractiveness to developers – the principles of rapid delivery and cutting edge technology make for a highly attractive work environment. One critical element of any requirement of this type is the mechanism that allows features and usability features to be rapidly developed and deployed. Vidushi Infotech helped Better Feed to put in place a continuous delivery and deployment pipeline. The pipeline enables quick build-measure-learn cycles, which quickly bring new ideas to the fore and tests them on the market in a very short amount of time. The key to an enhanced digital experience is continuous tuning, which is based on data that is derived from customer interactions. Better Feed is now operating in a highly agile environment that contributes to a cycle of continuous improvement.
