Ownership Background Owner: Amanda Son Experience and training: Amanda started as an office intern while in highschool. After leaving high school she found a job at the local gas station as a cashier. Within six months she had been promoted to a shift manager. After implementing some changes with the vendors and workforce, the store achieved a 30% in profits before the end of her first year. Due to the achievements, she had gotten advanced to Supervising Manager just after the anniversary of her start date. After over a decade of dedication, the store owner retired and sold his buisness and it was time to find a new career. Amanda decided she did not want to continue working in the gas station business anymore so she became an idependent contractor and worked with several small local business's and a few larger ones. She landed a contract with the local newspaper company. However after finishing out the terms of the contracts she decided not to negotiate another term and found Instacart to make ends meet while researching her next move. Unfortunately, covid-19 had other plans. During the pandemic her mother became extremely ill so Amanda knew she needed to be able to care for her. So she turned to freelance work to pay the bills. While working a range of different type of freelance opportunites, Amanda knew she was ready to make a change and start her own business. While she had any free time she began taking any and all online courses she could find for free or very cheap. So with the new knowledge from the many different courses, videos, books; along with the range of freelance job skills; and added with her past experiences, Page 3 of 4 she launched her online boutique January 2nd 2023. During the process of building the store and learning the ins and outs of it, she realized just how important content creation and advertising really is for any and every business. Although she had previously worked in posting advertising campaigns for plenty of other places, she never really understood the value and that they could essentially make or break a business. That is when the idea to branch out and start a blog about the experiences and of many solutions along her journey. She then learned how to also turn that into a profitable extension. So that is how the company started and went from just an online boutique, into several branches of monetization.
