In South Africa there are many Beauty Schools and the market is vast, however there is opportunity to fill a gap in the market by supplying a cost effective and sustainable school for the beauty industry.
We have chosen the location strategically and will target:
Male and Female adults between the ages of 18-40
That live in medium to higher income households
Live in a ±30km radius of the school

That want to make a difference in the community and individuals.
The purpose of this academy is to up-skill people giving them the knowledge they need to have a successful career in the beauty industry. This is open to part time, full time, employed or unemployed individuals.
Market Analyses:
According to a Department of Higher Education Study done in 2015- the hairdressing sector in South Africa constitutes R15.61 Billion and will only continue to grow. The study also showed that the industry contributes to 2.02% to employment or 185 415 jobs.
The cosmetology sector as a whole is expected to remain flat and consistent over the next 18-24 months as the economy looks for stability. Thereafter the sector is expected to grow as the economy as a whole finds stability and gains traction. This will positively impact the beauty industry because almost everyone in the world want to look good, and thus need people who can make them look good.
Sales and Marketing Strategy:
We will reach our consumers by taking full advantage of corporate advertising and aggressive local marketing. We also believe that the satisfied clientele that we currently have at the Crystal Nail Lounge will be the best marketing we can have.

Therefore, responses through word of mouth advertising are easy to establish and you get real-time responses. Other forms of advertising are not encouraged because the company could be flooded by applicants who in most cases will come to the business to apply in person. However, if the funder insists on other forms of advertising, the company will comply.

Management Summary:
This market is being manipulated by big companies in South Africa offering courses worth R8000 in three days which is impossible to master any of these in three days, or a day course.
We at XXXXXXXX are coming in as a South African-owned academy offering free courses with the quality of learning and experience required to produce professional technicians and beauticians to meet the industry’s standard without compromise and empowering the community.
Given the high technical nature of nail care, more and more nail care business are demanding people who are appropriately qualified and who can assure their customers that the people who are helping them know what they are doing and will be able to meet their exacting standards or expectations.
Local brands are growing in popularity and are probably regarded to be more affordable. Therefore, desirability and affordability are also driving the growth of the market.
The demand is unknown, but it is not difficult to establish interest in the course if people know that the courses will be subsidized. Therefore, responses through word of mouth advertising are easy to establish and you get real-time responses. Other forms of advertising are not encouraged because the company could be flooded by applicants who in most cases will come to the business to apply in person.
