2020 – A year of breaking records without any brakes
This year will be remembered for mainly two things in the Formula One World, one for the current world champion Lewis Hamilton surpassing the veteran Ferrari sensation Michael Schumacher for the most wins at Grand prix(91) and will begin the next season at 95 wins. Second, the joint all time record of 7 world championships, again the Mercedes superstar equaling with Schumacher. There were many more records which couldn’t make big headlines which we will discuss in this article, but one thing is for sure the year 2020 will be remembered for Covid-19 and Sir Lewis Carl Hamilton.

This year was also very special for the Mercedes team, breaking the record of most consecutive constructor’s championship by winning the 7th consecutive title in 2020. The record was earlier jointly held by Mercedes and Ferrari until the former won it in 2020. The 7th consecutive win is also the 7th championship that Mercedes has won since its introduction I Formula One.
