You might be good at what you do but there are other people out there who are far better. This is an era of competition so you just can't afford to be disheartened if you get rejected. You have to keep trying if you're passionate about it.

If you want satisfaction, contentment, and a sense of completion, embrace a deadline. A deadline means you have to write. No deadline means you write because you want to. Sometimes having a defined deadline helps you focus on completing the task. And if it's a particularly unpleasant writing assignment, at least you know it will come to an end. Deadlines sometimes are not bad at all.
There are a number of ways to improve your writing skills, depending on what type of writing you like to write and who your intended readership is. Before you come up with your first masterpiece you should consistently practice your writing skills. One way of doing this is to decide what type of writing that interest you, and pick up the style that you feel comfortable with and are able to use to improve your own writing.
