**Position: **Sponsorship Development Specialist
**Reports to: **Destination Manager
**Job Type: **Freelance. Short Term. Part-time
Compensation: Commision-based.

Explorer Chick is looking for a dynamic and experienced Sponsorship Development Specialist to help us secure at least $30,000 in sponsorship commitments for our annual event through direct outreach and collaboration with the marketing and hospitality departments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing sponsorships and maximizing sponsorship opportunities and has contacts with corporate America. This is a short-term, specific project-based position with a commission-based structure.
Responsibilities/Outcomes:
- Identify, initiate contact with, and secure sponsorships from potential partners, including corporations, businesses, and other organizations that align with the Explorer Chick Brand.
- Accurately convey Explorer Chick’s mission and the opportunities to potential sponsors in such a way that benefits the sponsor.
- Manage all aspects of event sponsorship activities: including sponsor prospecting, collaborating with the Destination Manager and Marketing department to customize and revise proposals, delivering presentations, and finalize agreements.
- Manage and expand the company’s database of potential and existing sponsors and contact information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to activate sponsorships effectively, including marketing and hospitality.
- Comfortable with phone communication, including “cold calls”.
- Obtain sponsorship of at least $30,000.
- Other duties as specified by the direct leader.

- Proven experience in sponsorship development and management. (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. (Preferred)
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong communication skills; written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in using various communication tools such as email and Slack.
- Excellent project management skills.
Metrics / Expected Results:
- Meet and exceed established sponsorship goals of $30,000
- Develop an up-to-date database of potential and existing sponsors, including their contact information, with at least 95% accuracy and completeness.
