Our orthopedic clinic based in New York is looking for a highly skilled and dependable Medical Virtual Assistant to become a permanent part of our team. This is a direct-hire, full-time position — not through an agency — with weekend availability and occasional overtime required.
We are seeking someone with a strong background in medical administration and billing, excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, and a proactive approach to patient care and workflow management.
- Serve as a medical receptionist, managing patient calls, messages, and appointment scheduling.
- Handle medical billing and claims processing, including insurance verification. Experience with No-Fault (NF) and Workers’ Compensation (WC) claims is a strong plus.
- Provide administrative and operational support to help ensure smooth daily clinic operations.
- Proven experience in medical billing and claims processing.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish for effective communication with patients.
- Hands-on experience with the Athena EMR system.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
