Software and Debugger Assistant full time

AMW HQ: United States, US, United States Remote job May 7

The Role

You'll be one of our go-to technical problem solver. Half the job is building and improving business tools — small apps, automations, integrations, and utilities that make our team faster. The other half is debugging: when something breaks across our stack of platforms, plugins, APIs, or scripts, you figure out why and fix it.

You don't need to be a senior engineer. You need to be resourceful, curious, and comfortable jumping into unfamiliar tools, reading documentation, and using the latest tech stack and AI assistants to accelerate your work. We care more about your ability to solve the problem in front of you than your résumé. Attention to quality and detail is paramount.

What You'll Do

  • Debug issues across our existing stack — websites, landing pages, integrations, scripts, third-party platforms
  • Investigate broken workflows, identify root causes, and ship fixes
  • Write clear documentation with visuals to guide users on how to use different applications
  • Work closely with leadership to scope projects, propose solutions, and ship quickly
  • Use AI tools aggressively to accelerate development and debugging
  • Excellent debugging instincts — you isolate problems methodically rather than guessing

What We're Looking For

  • Broad working knowledge across many software platforms, web apps, and SaaS tools — you don't need deep expertise in any one stack, but you should be able to learn a new tool quickly and know how to get answers when stuck
  • Well versed in using a variety of web and mobile apps.
  • Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and how modern apps connect to each other
  • Strong working knowledge of AI models and LLM assistants or similar tools as part of your daily workflow to write code, debug, and research solutions
  • Clear written English and the ability to explain technical issues plainly
  • Self-directed — you can take a vague problem, ask the right questions, and come back with a working solution
  • Reliable internet, quiet workspace, and overlap with US business hours when needed
  • Experience with no-code/low-code platforms (Zapier, Make, Airtable, etc.)
  • Background in marketing tech, CRMs, business or agency operations
  • Familiarity with hosting, DNS, and basic infrastructure
  • Prior remote work with US-based teams
