Social Media Manager & Virtual Assistant
Position Overview
You will support a holistic career coaching company by managing their online presence, creating engaging content, scheduling posts, growing their audience, and fostering meaningful engagement on social media. This role also includes light administrative support to streamline day-to-day operations, aligning with the coach’s goals of generating leads, building authority, and growing their brand presence online.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Develop high-quality, engaging social media content (graphics, captions, and short-form videos) tailored to the target audience.
- Repurpose content from blogs, webinars, or other materials into engaging posts.
- Use tools like Canva for graphics and CapCut for basic video editing.
- Plan and schedule posts using tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite.
- Ensure content is posted consistently across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions.
- Proactively engage with followers and relevant accounts to build relationships and grow the audience.
- Track metrics (engagement, reach, conversions) and provide weekly reports.
- Recommend improvements based on data insights.
Lead Generation & Campaign Support
- Assist with webinar and livestream promotion, creating teasers, countdowns, and engagement posts.
- Set up and monitor lead magnets like free downloads or event sign-ups.
- Identify potential collaboration opportunities with influencers or groups.
Administrative Support
- Organize and respond to client inquiries, filter important emails, and maintain inbox efficiency.
- Manage the career coach’s calendar, ensuring appointments, meetings, and webinars are well-coordinated.
- Organize and maintain marketing assets, client resources, and campaign files.
- Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Canva, CapCut, or similar tools for graphic and video creation.
- Experience with social media management tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar)
- Knowledge of LinkedIn best practices is a must; familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube is a bonus.
- Basic understanding of email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or ConvertKit.
Communication Skills
- Strong written English skills for crafting engaging, error-free captions and emails.
- Ability to adopt the coach’s brand voice and tone.
- Organizational Skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Marketing Savvy
- Understanding of lead generation strategies and social media trends.
- Ability to tailor content to the target audience of transitioning teachers, women in career pivots, and professionals in career change.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working with career coaches, educators, or professionals in similar niches is a plus.
