The Senior Consultant – BAU is responsible for delivering end-to-end global payroll outsourcing services for multinational clients. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while acting as the primary point of contact (POC) for clients and internal stakeholders. The role requires strong multi-country payroll expertise, excellent client management skills, and the ability to operate independently in a remote-first, fast-paced environment.

  • Execute accurate payroll processing across multiple countries in compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll activities including employee data validation, earnings, deductions, taxes, and statutory calculations.
  • Adhere strictly to payroll calendars, turnaround times (TAT), and system-driven processes.
  • Validate and reconcile Gross-to-Net (G2N), bank files, and General Ledger (GL) prior to payroll release.
  • Manage year-end payroll activities, including tax filings, statutory reporting, and audits.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll taxes, social security contributions, and statutory filings.
  • Leverage automation to improve compliance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates in collaboration with compliance teams.
  • Conduct regular audits of statutory processes and implement continuous improvements.
  • Ensure payroll services are delivered strictly within contractual scope.
  • Proactively manage and prevent scope creep through clear expectation setting and regular scope reviews.
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Implementation teams to validate requirement changes and documentation.
  • Maintain transparent communication with clients regarding service inclusions and change requests.
  • Accept clients from Implementation after Hypercare completion.
  • Review client documentation, system configuration, and service agreements for completeness.
  • Complete handover checklists and perform end-to-end payroll testing before BAU ownership.
  • Resolve gaps or discrepancies prior to steady-state operations.
  • Ensure trained backup resources are available for all assigned clients.
  • Maintain comprehensive process documentation and knowledge transfer plans.
  • Periodically test backup support readiness to minimize service disruption risks.
  • Maintain and update SOPs, wage type catalogs, and payroll documentation.
  • Ensure all payroll configuration changes follow formal change management procedures.
  • Identify manual inefficiencies and collaborate with IT teams to drive automation and optimization.
  • Monitor automation effectiveness and recommend further improvements.
  • Track and manage customer support tickets to meet SLA commitments.
  • Escalate unresolved issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA) for SLA breaches.
  • Prepare monthly SLA and service performance reports.
  • Proactively communicate ticket status and resolutions to clients.
  • Strong expertise in multi-country payroll operations and global compliance.
  • Experience in SLA tracking, support ticket management, and client governance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in global payroll, payroll outsourcing, or payroll consulting.
  • Professional certifications (CPP, CIPP, IPASS, Global Payroll Certification) preferred.
