Senior Consultant (BAU) – Norway/Denmark is responsible for delivering end-to-end payroll outsourcing solutions for global clients, ensuring payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant. Acting as the primary point of contact (POC), this role bridges client needs and internal teams. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in multi-country payroll operations, deep knowledge of international regulations, and the ability to manage complex payroll environments in a fast-paced, remote-first setting.

Global Payroll Processing

  • Manage payroll operations across multiple countries with strict adherence to compliance, timelines, and accuracy.
  • Oversee data validation, earnings, deductions, reconciliations, and G2N checks.
  • Handle year-end payroll tasks including filings, audits, and statutory reports.

Compliance & Regulatory Filings

  • Ensure timely statutory submissions (taxes, contributions, reporting).
  • Leverage automation to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor legal/regulatory changes and implement process updates.
  • Conduct audits to close compliance gaps.

Client Success & Service Scope

  • Align payroll services with contractual agreements.
  • Prevent scope creep and manage expectations through proactive reviews.
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Implementation teams on requirement changes.
  • Provide transparent communication on scope and deliverables.

Client Onboarding & Transition

  • Transition clients from Implementation post-hypercare.
  • Review system configurations, documentation, and agreements.
  • Conduct payroll testing to validate compliance and accuracy.
  • Address discrepancies before steady-state operations.

Business Continuity

  • Train and prepare backup resources for seamless client support.
  • Maintain documentation and knowledge transfer plans.
  • Regularly test backup processes to reduce operational risks.

Documentation & Change Management

  • Maintain SOPs and payroll documentation (wage catalogs, data dictionaries).
  • Follow change management procedures for system updates.
  • Track all CRs and approvals.

Automation & Optimization

  • Identify manual inefficiencies and recommend automation.
  • Work with IT and process improvement teams to enhance workflows.
  • Monitor automation results and propose further improvements.

Support & SLA Management

  • Track and resolve client tickets within SLA timelines.
  • Escalate unresolved issues and prepare SLA compliance reports.
  • Perform RCA on SLA breaches and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure transparent client communication on ticket progress.
  • Global Payroll Expertise – multi-country processing, compliance, and reconciliations.
  • Client & SLA Management – governance, reporting, and expectation handling.
  • Onboarding & Transition – testing, setup validation, and hypercare.
  • Compliance & Automation – statutory filings and process efficiency.
  • Process Optimization – workflow improvement and automation adoption.
  • Documentation & Change Management – SOPs and system updates.
  • Business Continuity – backup planning and risk mitigation.
  • Analytical Thinking – SLA analysis, payroll metrics, and RCA.
  • Strong Communication – client-facing and cross-team collaboration.
  • 7+ years in global payroll, outsourcing, or payroll consulting.
  • Strong experience with SLA tracking, reporting, and ticket management.
  • Deep knowledge of international payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Preferred certifications: Global Payroll Certification, CPP, CIPP, or IPASS.
