Asahan Tech Partners is building an AI-powered recruitment platform for staffing agencies and internal hiring teams.
The platform will process resumes and job descriptions, extract structured candidate information, search candidate databases, rank applicants against job requirements, and generate evidence-based matching explanations and interview questions.
This is not a basic chatbot project. The system must handle real recruitment documents, protect sensitive candidate data, identify uncertain results, and avoid making claims that are not supported by a candidate’s resume.
We are looking for a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to lead the development of the platform’s AI services.
You will own the resume-processing, semantic search, candidate-matching, ranking, and AI evaluation systems. You will work with product, backend, frontend, and QA engineers to take the platform from development to production.
- Build pipelines for processing PDF and DOCX resumes.
- Extract skills, employment history, education, certifications, and other candidate information into validated structured data.
- Process job descriptions and separate required qualifications from preferred qualifications.
- Build candidate search using keywords, metadata, embeddings, and hybrid retrieval.
- Develop explainable candidate-to-job matching and ranking.
- Link matching claims to supporting sections of the candidate’s resume.
- Add confidence scoring and human review for uncertain results.
- Generate candidate-specific screening and interview questions.
- Build APIs and background services using Python and FastAPI.
- Integrate LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock.
- Create evaluations for extraction accuracy, search quality, ranking quality, and unsupported claims.
- Monitor model latency, failures, token usage, and cost.
- Protect candidate data through secure access controls and tenant isolation.
- Deploy and maintain AI services on AWS.

Candidates are not required to have experience with every listed technology, but they should have strong experience with comparable tools.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong production experience with Python.
- Experience building and deploying LLM, NLP, search, or machine-learning applications.
- Experience with structured LLM outputs, embeddings, semantic search, RAG, or reranking.
- Experience building APIs with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or a similar framework.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and vector-search technology.
- Experience with asynchronous jobs, queues, or background workers.
- Experience deploying containerized services to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience evaluating, monitoring, and debugging production AI systems.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, privacy, and secure data handling.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Experience with recruitment software, applicant-tracking systems, or resume parsing.
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Experience with OpenSearch, pgvector, Qdrant, Pinecone, or Weaviate.
- Experience with AWS services such as ECS, S3, SQS, RDS, or Bedrock.
- Experience leading projects or mentoring developers.
The Senior AI Engineer will initially deliver:
- A resume-processing service that produces validated candidate data.
- A hybrid candidate-search system.
- An explainable candidate-to-job matching service.
- An evaluation suite for extraction, retrieval, ranking, and hallucinations.
- A production deployment with monitoring, security, and failure recovery.
