Senior Accountant full time

Rate : $10.00 /hour (Negotiable depending on experience)

Working Hours | Schedule : Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST / 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM Philippine Timezone

Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions related to property operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and audit support. This role requires a strong understanding of property management accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with operations and management teams.

We are looking for the following specific requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA or CPA track preferred)
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in property management or real estate
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, MRI) strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial records
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Assist with external audits and coordinate with auditors as needed
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Support property managers and regional staff with financial insights and reporting
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices
