Jabees is a wellness audio and assistive technology brand (sleep audio, bone conduction headphones, hearing accessibility). We're building a genuine, long-term presence on Reddit — not a marketing channel, but a real community of people who care about better sleep, safer outdoor audio, or more inclusive hearing tech.
We're looking for someone who already understands how Reddit works — the culture, the unwritten rules, and how real community trust gets built — to manage one dedicated Reddit account on our behalf, focused on a specific topic area. This is not a “post promotional content” job. It's closer to being a genuine, helpful voice in a handful of communities you'd likely be part of anyway.
We're starting this as a part-time, freelance engagement — but Reddit trust is built over months, not weeks, so we're looking for someone who wants this to become a long-term, ongoing relationship once we're both confident it's working well, not a short gig.
What you'll do
- Be a real community member first. Spend time actually participating in 5–10 target subreddits — answering questions, sharing opinions, joining discussions — with no promotional intent for the first several weeks.
- Build credibility over time. Grow the account's karma and standing through consistent, genuine contribution, following each subreddit's specific rules.
- Represent Jabees only when relevant and disclosed. When a conversation genuinely calls for it, mention relevant Jabees products with clear disclosure of your connection to the company — never hidden, never forced.
- Track and report. Keep a simple log of activity, what's working, and any moderator issues; report daily.
- Flag risk early. Recognize and avoid anything that could be read as spam, manipulation, or inauthentic behavior, and raise questions before acting if unsure.
You're a strong fit if you
- Already use Reddit personally and understand how subreddit culture, moderation, and karma actually work — this isn't a platform you're learning from scratch.
- Have a genuine interest in sleep/wellness OR running, cycling, and outdoor audio OR hearing accessibility (we'll match you to the account that fits your interest).
- Write naturally and conversationally — Reddit has zero tolerance for content that reads like marketing copy.
- Are patient. This is a slow-build, trust-first role. We are not looking for fast growth hacks, and we will not ask you to do anything that risks the account (vote manipulation, multiple accounts, fake engagement).
- Are comfortable with transparency — you'll disclose your connection to Jabees whenever it's relevant, every time.
What this role is not
- Not a content-blasting or growth-hacking role — we will never ask you to post links repeatedly, buy upvotes, or manage more than one account.
- Not a customer support role (a separate official brand account handles direct support and AMAs).
- Not a high-volume job — expect a handful of hours per week, growing over time as the presence builds.
Logistics
- We will create and provide the Reddit account; you will not use your own personal Reddit account for this work.
- Remote, work from your own device on your own home network. Full onboarding includes account-security guidelines you'll be asked to follow.
- Starts part-time, with the intent to grow into a stable, long-term arrangement if it's a good mutual fit.
