Role Overview
We are looking for a talented and autonomous freelance video editor to:
- Edit promotional videos from raw footage provided by NovaStudio.
- Add professional transitions, effects, and motion graphics.
- Optimize videos for multiple formats (social media, websites, advertisements).
- Meet strict deadlines and follow detailed briefs.
- Suggest creative ideas to enhance the visual impact of the videos.
Note: NovaStudio does not provide any software, tools, or equipment. The freelancer must be fully self-sufficient.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in promotional or advertising video editing.
- Proficiency in professional software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual rhythm.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- High professionalism and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Work Terms
- Contract Type: Freelance / 100% remote.
- Trial Period: 6 weeks on a commission basis, with the potential to move to a fixed monthly salary based on performance.
- Working Hours: Flexible, project-based.
- Tools: The freelancer provides their own equipment and software.
Compensation
- Trial Period (6 weeks): Paid on a per-video commission basis, for completed and approved videos.
- Post-Trial: Fixed monthly salary plus performance-based bonuses, based on video quality and volume delivered.
- Payment method: Weekly or monthly, as agreed.
Hiring Process
- Submit portfolio or links to previous work.
- Complete a short test project: editing a promotional video.
- Discuss commission structure and working terms.
- Begin 6-week trial period.
