Job Summary:

The Product Manager provides technical and operational support for company product lines, with a focus on manufacturing processes, product configuration, and implementation. The role applies technical knowledge to support product setup, feasibility assessment, and production readiness within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate new product launches by developing timelines, tracking tasks, and supporting implementation readiness across departments.
  • Work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Design, Production, and Sales & Marketing to ensure product setup, specifications, and operational requirements are aligned.
  • Review new product offerings from manufacturing, system, and process perspectives to support feasibility assessment and launch planning.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain product data, specifications, comparison materials, and related technical documentation.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of product structures, configurations, BOM alignment, and product rules within internal ERP systems.
  • Support manufacturing and operational planning by reviewing lead time, capacity, process constraints, and implementation risks.
  • Analyze internal data and cross-functional feedback to support product changes, process improvements, and discontinuation recommendations.
  • Prepare reports, reference materials, and process documentation to support consistent product information and cross-department communication.
  • Help resolve product-related technical and configuration issues across departments, including setup, manufacturability, and warranty-related questions.
  • Support continuous improvement of product development and launch processes through documentation, coordination, and follow-up on cross-functional action items. 
  • Apply technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and product structures to support product implementation and feasibility.
  • Assist in the interpretation of engineering specifications and ensure accurate translation into production systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing, product support, or technical coordination role.
  • Experience with 2020 Insight or similar ERP/configuration systems.
  • Knowledge of 2020 Construct or a similar manufacturing configuration system is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of product structure, BOMs, specifications, and system configuration.
  • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze operational data to support product and process decisions.
  • Experience coordinating tasks across multiple departments in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
